Perhaps I am at too elementary of a level, but having all instructions written in Arabic means that most of the time I don't know what the exercises are asking me to do. Also, in our previous text, Ahlen wa Sahlen, there were explanations in English about subtleties of Arabic grammar. With this text, it feels like I have to figure it out by trial and error. In Ahlen was Sahlen the glossary of vocabulary had nouns written with both singular and plural forms, and verbs with both the 3rd person masculine perfective AND imperfective, as well as a gerund form where applicable. This book only lists the vocab as it appears in the text. To be fair, the professor switched to this text as a trial, and maybe using the Book One text first would address all of these problems.
