The shoes were very comfortable for the first six hours. After that it felt like I was walking on bloody stubs through broken glass. The biggest insult came four days after wearing them when the sole of the shoe literally started ripping apart. I haven't even worn them a week and I'm already having to use Gorilla glue to hold them together. Cheap Chinese construction, hopefully good ole American glue will fix this. However I'm really disappointed because besides it ripping apart, I really do like the shoe otherwise, just needs better construction and really better support for those of us who are on our feet all day.

I'm literally putting pressure on the one boot now so the glue will hold, typing one handed to write this review.

These boots are great for a person that needs a 2E or above wide shoe. These Lugz run wider than the normal boot so if your a 2E width the D width will do. If you find one 2E then you'll have plenty of space for a thermal sock. The downfall to these boots I've notice is if your using them for work expect to replace them in 6-9 months. The inner sole will have to be replace more often as well. They have a workforce model of these which the sole will last a bit longer but its hard to find. I worked in a casino for 2 years and went through 4 pairs just walking and 8 inner soles. Figure if your job has you on your feet for more than 6 hours a day and your work week is five days on them you'll burn right though these a lot better than any walking sneaker I bought. I enjoy these a lot more since I have wide feet and Timberlands are too pricey for my size. I'm wear a size 8 1/2 2E if I were to buy a Tim I would need to get a 9 1/2 Wide (rare) which ranges in the high $160-$200 mark but still need to take to a leather streacher to fit right. I've been lucky to find these under $50-$40 each time I need a new pair. Which makes them a bargin even having to purchase inner soles. Plus, I'm able to buy the right size that fits every time. Another benefit is that they make me an inch taller and help my posture.

I've been wearing Lugz since 95 and fits comfy. I do have wide feet and require shoe size that are wide for me so this fits me perfect and doesn't hurt my big elephant feet. I bought 2 pair(one for work and one for casual style for home/dates).

Other reviews stated to increase a size because the sizes run small. This is not true. My husband wears an 8 or 8.5 depending on the shoe/boot, so I bought a 9. The 9 was way too big, and I threw out the invoice accidently so I could not send them back for a smaller size. Otherwise, my husband does like the look and feel of the Lugz boot. I had to special order him a thick insole to ensure a more substantial fit. He is pleased, but recommends to order the boot in the wearers actual size, especially if the wearer has a wide foot! Hope this is helpful with your purchase!:)

This is a very well constructed and comforatable shoe.

I love the look and style.

However, the front end tends to scuff and mark very easily.

Although an excellent offering, I recommend using the Drifter in clean and safe environments only.

If these are the same Lugs boots I bought two momths ago they are absolute junk. they came unglued from the soles, the tread is worn out already and the lugs are hollow, Crap and a waste of money, I have never been more unhappy with a pair of shoes

My husband has bad bunions and I was leery to even buy him shoes. But was going through sneakers every four months. The Lugz are providing support for his toes and ankles. He likes them a lot.

Here's hoping I don't have the problems the others have had with the soles coming apart. I bought these because I'm a mostly very casual/athletic dressing person. My job doesn't even require anything above the occasional khaki pants. While these boots are generally looked at as a work or urban boot, I bought them to wear to a wedding. They fit well and I made it through the entire wedding/reception, 4 hours, without any pain. I would say though that the sizes may be a bit big. My three most wore shoes, including to work are New Balance 990 size 11 4E, Brooks Glycerin size 11.5 and Brooks Ghost size 11.5. I ordered a standard width size 11 in these and they fit good, if anything they are slightly loose in the heel, but not enough to go down a size. I would imagine these are wider than most tennis shoes so you might want to consider that when ordering.

And before anyone laughs about me wearing Lugz to a wedding, I got 4 compliments on them, including from the groom who ended up ordering himself a pair. Good, solidly built (so far) boot that seem to be sturdy for me, but I have only wore them four times in two weeks.

Lugz Drifter Lo's are the only boots I've bought for some time, each pair lasts numerous years with all-day daily wear. Because of the material they will get beat up looking unless you are careful. My last pair tore at the side of the heal stitch because I took them off by one foot on the heal of the other and the pressure eventually took it's toll. They lasted several years and I expect these ones to last even longer. Hard to find in the stores around here, probably will order another pair or two when my size is restocked.

They fit as expected, I wouldn't be able to wear thinsulate socks with them but I had no desire to do so. I usually wear thin socks so I stayed true to size.

Shipping... our Prime ended so we had to wait a few days - no problem, until I realized it was UPS SurePost so they shipped on the 7th, arrived in town on the 10th at 6am and then USPS took over and they came to the house at 11 am on the 13th. Please don't send these as UPS SurePost, just let UPS handle the full delivery. An extra 1.5 business days can be frustrating, luckily it was only that - the USPS is not reliable.
