I was so excited to see that Amazon was carrying this item and at the price of $29.99 as Macy's sold the very same thing for $50.00! (Because Macy's carried it, I made the assumption that it would be of good quality. Wrong!!!) I was really excited about its multi-use. It looked lovely in the pictures and therein lies the problem. First of all, it's not nearly as beautiful in person as in the pictures. Rather than graceful with elegant lines, it is chunky and plain. Second of all, the quality of glass is very, very cheap. The dome, plate, and base were full of very distracting bubbles. There were even lines in the glass where lines should not have been. I was so disappointed in this item that I promptly returned it! Don't waste your time or money.

I bought this for my daughter-in-law for Christmas. I searched in the all of the local stores, and within a 35 mile radius and found nothing nearly as nice, versatile, and price comparable. My only regret was I did not get this sooner. It was so easy and a huge relief once I purchased it. I would definitely buy again, it is attractive and very versatile! A little heavy, but what do you expect-it's glass. The ones at the stores were much heavier, plain, and only 1-2 functions. The service received was also outstanding.

The dome is high enough to cover a three-layer round cake. It inverts into a wonderful trifle/punch bowl.

I haven't used the plate and stand as an appetizer and dip tray, but it will work great, I'm positive.

This is so great that I bought my mom one for Christmas this year!

The first time I received it, the glass plate was cracked almost in half. The packaging consisted of a rather flimsy box packed inside a much larger box. The problem which may have led to the cracked plate is that the packing material was only used on one side of the box. I sent it back and received a new one quickly and in good condition. The newer one is in fine condition, I am now very satisfied with it. However, I recommend to the manufaturer better (not necessarily larger) packaging to avoid future cracked glass incidents. The item itself is versatile, attractive, and hold up fine in the dishwasher.

I used this product 1 1/2 times. The first time it stored my baked goods (which were consumed within a day) just fine. The second time I used it, i put a piece of baked bread in. I was in my living room tending to my child and heard a noise in the kitchen.... The dome broke in half rightdown the middle of flat base.

I went on their website to see if they offer any support and all you get is the option to send them an e-mail.....

I use the covered plate all the time! I'm always putting cupcakes or muffins in it, and even cookies. I also love that it is a 4 in 1 in case I need it for a veggie tray or punch bowl. It is very handy.

the plate and dome are nice. the problem is this dish is all glass and the packaging is awful. there are several other reviews that touch on this point, but no one seems to be addressing the problem. that said, amazon is great with sending another dish if you receive a box full of broken glass.

A friend purchased this first and while I was over her house, she was showing me all the ways it could be used. I thought it was the neatest thing! She said she got it at Target so that's where I went to purchase the cake stand.

When I first got home, I noticed the dome had a knick in it so I went back to exchange it for another one that was fine. It's true the glass has some slight imperfections, but for $20--it is a great buy.

A lot of negative reviews go to it being in a million pieces due to shipping and lack of padding. Do yourself a favor and just go to Target to buy it. If by chance something happens, you can always swap it out.

It is so nice and useful. It can always be used for something. displaying goodies , veggie and dip server, punch bowl.Its a wonderful idea to have so many uses. Good quality at a great price !

This is a beautiful and versatile cake plate. I purchased it primarily for cakes, but it's great to have the ability to use it for other things as well. Shipping was prompt. Great value.
