These are VERY good glasses. They are heavy, moderately thick, and has a very good feel in your hands. Just in case you're curious, they're squarish, not round. The only reason that I gave them a four star is because one of them was very badly cracked.

Received my glasses the other day. I was pleased to see that perhaps Amazon has fixed the packing problem that others have mentioned. Mine came packed box within a box. In addition, the box of the glasses was wrapped in bubble wrap. All four arrived safe and sound. Lovely glasses, rounded square shape, beautiful addition to our house.

These glasses are very attractive and have a nice weight to them. My husband loves them so much he ordered more. They are easy to wash and don't seem too fragile. Would make a great gift.

While the glasses are nice the packaging was so substandard the two usable glasses end up costing you twice what you think you're paying. Or your other option is to return them and start the process over again. Either way it adds up to a time consuming and expensive process. There was no visible damage to shipping packaging yet they were packed so poorly that two of them were broken. I was hesitant to purchase glassware online for just this reason and only did it because it was Amazon.

These are beautiful glasses, but in the end, aren't really the best value. Because the design is more of a square with rounded corners, the glass itself doesn't end up being strong and over the course of a few or several years, they will break one by one, even when you're simply washing them in the sink. I had bought a set of 8 in 2005 and I have only 1 left.

What did I replace these with? The Luigi Bormioli Lucia. The Lucia glasses are completely circular and will likely not break unless dropped on the floor. Just a better design.

I ordered these glasses based on the reviews that I read on this site. They came well packaged and in tact. They have a wonderful weight to them and fit comfortably in your hand. I also ordered the Tovolo King Cube Silicone Tray with it and the cubes were made for these glasses. Both were a Christmas gift for my brother. He is a bartender at an upscale cocktail bar in Brooklyn that specializes in classic cocktails, so they seemed to be the perfect gift for home entertaining. They are heavy, so be careful while hand-washing. I've already lost one. So sad. I highly recommend the glasses and the ice cube tray.

I drink my scotch out of these glasses. Very nice to hold, cleans very well in the dishwasher, and they look very classy.

I have had this pattern for many years and am always delighted to restock the "Strauss" pattern. These glasses are as appropriate for a formal table as they are for the deck and cocktails. Love them.

I love these Bormiolis, and was trying to add to my set. Amazon should NOT sell them until they learn how to ship them. I received a box of broken glass. The Bormioli box itself had been wrapped in bubblewrap, but not the individual glasses inside. Needless to say, that does not work. But I shipped it all back and received a full discount. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to find the glasses anywhere else yet so I will have to make do with what I have. It's a silly waste of time to package fragile items so poorly.
