If you like the look of these glasses, go ahead and get them: you won't be disappointed! I don't have much to say about them other than they've held up nicely for us during everyday use for over a year. We really enjoy using them and appreciate their simple, clean aesthetic. They perform great in the dishwasher and look sleek & chic on the table. The glasses' bases are solid and rather thick, which lends a pleasant weight when holding them in your hand. My husband particularly likes how the edges are slightly squared, creating a smaller and more focused aperture (more funnel-like) through which the liquid flows into your mouth. (Apparently he found our previous glasses too "messy" when sipping.) ;-)
The glasses arrived packaged very securely -- each glass was individually bubble-wrapped and placed in a partitioned box. Perfect condition upon arrival: no scratches or broken pieces. We also bought the matching set of six 13.5-oz highballers. Once in a while, this set (and the highballers) will go on sale for $19.99 with Free Super Saver Shipping, so it may be worth it to wait a month or two if you're not in desperate need of new drinkware. If Luigi Bormiolli made a pitcher and/or other glassware in this same "Strauss" collection, we'd buy those pieces too. Highly recommended!

I purchased 2 sets of these glasses in December 2006. They look great, have a nice heavy feel to them, are of obvious good quality. I could not be happier, and I'm now going to order the larger 13.5 oz. size too. If you have any doubts, you can forget them now, and buy these classy glasses. If you like the look of this style, you will not regret this purchase.

Chose these glasses to replace our old ones. They are very sturdy and look elegant. The bottoms are thicker glass and the sides are delicate but not too thin. A great product. Have not dropped any yet, so dont know how durable they are. But they are dishwasher safe and look brand new after 3 months of use. Very happy with these glasses. Will consider getting the taller size in the same line as wlel.
