I'm 57 years old, and have never been a serious video gamer. I really don't care for most games, but had a great time with Plants vs. Zombies on a DS. Facing more hospital time in my battle with cancer, I bought a 3DS and a few games. Luigi's Mansion was perfect for me. The controls are few and simple, so it was a snap to pick up. The graphics and sound track are enjoyable, and do not become annoying. The level of difficulty was exactly right, it took a few tries to figure out how to solve things, but I never got stuck and became frustrated. All in all, this game fit me extremely well, and I really enjoy playing it.

Luigi's Mansion has been one of the more underrated games from the Nintendo Gamecube era. But when word came out a sequel was going to be made for the Nintendo 3DS, I was very eager to see what Nintendo was going to make. They made a good game, but with Prima, they have had a lack of good strategy guides. The Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon from Prima couls've had a better description about the mansion and each of the levels. I had a little tougher time getting through each of the levels in this game, with a lagging map for each of the mansions, and a lack of description for better controls for the game. There could've also been more for the multiplayer as well. Overall, you could've gotten more for your money, since Nintendo doesn't make strategy guides anymore. But, this sadly is the only guide to get if you are trying to capture King Boo and his menacing henchmen.

A friend of mine bought me this when he heard I was having trouble with the game. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED the Luigi's Mansion game for the GameCube but this game is rather frustrating without the guide. Trying to get a 3 star ranking in every level is difficult. Finding all the Boos, Gems, and fighting the Bosses can be rather frustrating without this guide, and looking up online is not always easy, so I would recommend this guide for the players who are struggling. :)

It's a strategy guide that is fairly easy to read, and the text is big enough for those who have poor vision.
