Best Mario/Luigi Game Since Mario 64,
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Luigi's Mansion (CD-ROM)
this game is tons of fun. it can get tricky at parts but just keep at it. it's similar to mario 64 in that retrospect. you go around with luigi and suck up ghosts that are hiding in different things. the game is pretty vast considering where some of the ghosts are. the bosses aren't too easy and not terribly hard, their in the middle most of them. it is a pretty long game and isn't terribly short, but isn't terribly long either. all in all this game gets a 5 star rating because it is so much fun. and i am 25 years old.

Luigi's Mansion,

Luigi of the famous Mario Bros. has inherited a creepy old mansion filled with riches. The catch? It's filled with ghouls and ghosts, and it is up to him to catch them all using his trusty vacuum cleaner and his trusty flashlight! As it turns out, Mario is also trapped somewhere within the mansion, so along with the help of Professor E. Gadd, Luigi must defeat all 23 of the house's inhabitants to save Mario and take back the mansion. LUIGI'S MANSION was the Gamecube's launch title, and it marks one of the few games where the underappreciated Luigi takes center stage. Unlike most of the Mario Bros. platformer games, the gameplay here involves mostly puzzle solving and ghost catching, as well as searching for hidden treasures in potted plants and cupboards. Each of the main 23 ghosts pose a different strategy that experienced gamers will have no trouble determining, but there is enough challenge and fun to make the game appealing to new and old players alike. While the boss battles offer little more difficulty, they do make for a nice diversion from the standard play. Hidden treasure is the name of the game, and players are rated at the finish by the amount of loot they collect throughout the darkened halls, so be sure to search every nook and cranny for the highest score possible! Ranking highly is important for the second round, as it alters the "Hidden Mansion" that is unlocked at the completion of the first mission. This also allows for a decent amount of replay value, much to the same extent as the secret world in THE LEGEND OF ZELDA. The control style is extremely basic, involving mostly aiming and shooting, but there are a few handling issues posed by the static camera angles that can make catching ghosts aggravating at times. LUIGI'S MANSION is an entertaining and unique puzzle solver for the Gamecube and Wii systems, and will be a sure fire hit with any Mario Bros. or Ghostbusters fans!

Ok, so i have played many enjoyable games in my long lifetime. I would have to say by far that in my opinion this game is one of greatest games i have ever played! Although it doesnt follow the pattern of any mario game, then again why would it? Mario only shows a couple appeaences in this game, because this game is based on luigi! It plays more like a qwerky and fun version of ghost busters with a unique nintendo charm added to itSTORYLINE It all starts out when Luigi recives a letter claiming that he won a mansion, as he arrives at the mansion he relizes that the mansion is deserted, besides all of the ghosts! With the help of your helpful freind "proffeser Egadd" you must rid the mansion of all the ghosts in order to find your lost brother mario. It is well paced and there are many moments that will make you laugh and you will enjoy yourself the entire experence. This game replay value is high as I Play this game around once a year and it never gets old. I have also lend this game to many freinds and all of them have enjoyed it thourouly. .... But there is only one problem with this game it is so short! the average player could beat it in around 8 hours. GRAPHICS To me they dont really matter as long as the gameplay is great (as it is in this game!) but the graphics are GREAT and even better taking into consideration this was one of the few launch titles released with the Epic gamecube. CONCLUSION This is an underrated game that is truley spectaclar. Its a sure buy! thanks for reading i hope i helped :)

Where's Mario?,

I thought that this was a really good game when I played it. It did freak me out at times, with all those ghosts popping up out of nowhere. Some of the boss battles were pretty good, like the first one, the baby. Nintendo did an awesome with it, those rocking horses flying around you (before the fight begins).
It would be something if they made a Luigi's Mansion 2. It would be nice if they gave Luigi another game. First Mario Is Missing and Luigi's Mansion. I give this game a 10 out of 10. The ONLY thing I did not like at all was that door in the hallway on the first floor, the one that was always locked. I was so happy to finally get through it when I figured it out.

I'm almost eight, and I like this game a lot because some of the ghosts' blogs are funny. I've had this game for a long time, like a couple of years, and it's still fun. The hidden mansion part is cool. The room with icicles falling out of the ceiling is hard. And even harder is fighting King Boo. I gave it only four stars for fun because the last level, which is fighting King Boo in a Bowser suit, is hard since King Boo is throwing mines, which you have to suck up so you can shoot at his head. Then he'll pop out of the suit and the Bowser head will float around and shoot ice bombs at you. If they hit you you'll get frozen. He'll also suck you up and chew you up and spit you out. When his head is on backwards he'll randomly rampage in unpredictable directions. I also think the part where you chase Boos around the mansion everywhere is kind of frustrating. Other than that it's a really good game.
