Mancini's mystical music,

"Lujon" is one of Mancini's masterpieces, but not nearly as well-known as others like "Pink Panther" and "Moon River". Aside from the elegant strings and the strong lines, the unique thing about the song is how many different mind pictures it conjures up for the listeners. The song transports the listener to someplace mysterious and far away, we recognize it vaguely, but we're never sure if it a moonlit Caribbean beach, a lush jungle setting, or a back alley nightclub in old Havana.
Do yourself a treat and give the song a listen. It won't let you down.
