Book Description

Harlequin Temptation August 1, 2003

E.R. head Dr. Luke Walker saves all of his bedside manner for his patients. With the hospital staff he's outspoken, tough, no-nonsense...until now. Disciplinary action from the hospital board has landed him a three-month stint at the Healing Waters Clinic. And working around aromatherapy, acupuncture and yoga seems to be having a remarkable effect on him. But not nearly the effect Faith McDowell--the fiery redheaded director of the clinic--is having on his libido!

The truth is Luke and Faith clash over everything--except their passion for healing people...and their passion for each other. Making love to Faith has a remarkable healing effect on Luke, putting a sexy smile on his face. Problem is, Luke Walker, who has done his best not to need anyone, finds himself needing her. So now he has to use his most persuasive bedside manner to convince Faith that this passion is for keeps.

5.0 out of 5 stars What a great summer read, July 27, 2003

This review is from: Luke (Harlequin Temptation) (Paperback)
Dr. Luke Walker, ER Dept Head, has no usage for the unconventional methods of the Healing Waters Clinic. A negative statement that is leaked to the press gets him in hot water with the clinic's Director Faith McDowell. As punishment from his boss at the hospital Luke has to work Saturdays at the clinic for three months. At first Luke and Faith clash at every turn over their methods of healing they soon realize that these heated clashes are hiding a sizzling passion for each other. Luke and Faith come to understand that their differing methods of medicine can work together. Luke has to convince Faith that their after hours passion can led to something permanent. This was a wonderful read, really enjoyed watching them fall in love.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read, October 17, 2003

This review is from: Luke (Harlequin Temptation) (Paperback)
I learned of Jill Shalvis in an anthology written with Lori Foster and Donna Kauffman. In that book, I was impressed enough by Jill's short story to order "Luke", which I found to be a fun, passionate, witty read. If you like Lori Foster and Nora Roberts, I believe that Jill Shalvis will please your reading palate.

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Luke (Harlequin Temptation) (Paperback)
Luke Walker is the brother of Matt from "Men of courage". Luke has said some unkind things about a clinic that treats patients using natural treatments instead of drugs. Luke has to work at the clinic for 3 months as a punishment. Sparks certainly fly between Luke & Faith & both of them realise they both have things to offer their patients.

But can they offer the one thing they each need from the other...
