Product Description

Color: Chocolate Brown

Pregnant moms have been stretching bulky headphones across their bellies since headphones were invented. Lullabelly is the safe, comfortable, and convenient alternative. Lullabelly is the modern mom's way to safely and comfortably play music, lullabies, audio books, or any recorded sounds to her baby in the womb. By using Lullabelly, parents-to-be can create their baby's playlist, AND listen along. We also include the sound splitter and earphones so mom or dad can listen too! Lullabelly utilizes safe sound level technology where the maximum volume level of the Lullabelly speaker is similar to a mother and father speaking or singing aloud to their baby in the womb. For added safety, the Lullabelly speaker has a volume control dial so, when using the sound splitter, mom or dad can separately control the volume level of their earphones and the volume of music playing for their baby. Playing music during pregnancy - Creates a wonderful bonding experience between mom and baby - Helps reduce stress levels for mom - Improves a baby's sleeping habits after birth - Encourages early brain development.

You plug in the belt to the MP3 player, and you're set!

This belt seems pretty perfect. There is a little zippered space for your MP3 player (It would fit a big unit, but since it wraps around my stomach I've opted for a smaller iPod nano that I had from a few years ago). You plug in the belt to the MP3 player, and you're set! I love that even when the iPod and belt are both at max volume the sound for the baby is still relatively quiet. They say it is "normal conversation level", to me it does seem a bit lower than that. The set comes with a splitter and set of headphones if you'd like to listen on your own as well. Mom's set has it's own volume control, which I like. As well, mom's set has rubber pads on it and seems pretty comfortable (important for me since I have relatively small ears, these don't hurt!).

The belt is made of fleece with padding, and it seems well made to me. The back connects with about 12 inches of velcro and it really does stick!

My only complaint is the available colors of this unit. The belt is for mom to use before the baby is born, and already we're forced to use a product that looks like it is for a newborn. I would have preferred plain black. Instead I have brown with green dots.

I am currently 4 months pregnant, and have been using this for a few weeks. I first started looking into something like this when a friend showed me another product (listed on here, don't remember the name, starts with an R and is $130). I loved the idea and love music but that was a bit much for our first time parents budget.

I can't feel if the baby responds to it at all yet...or know if it ever will, but I like the idea of it! It is really comfortable, the fabric is nice and plush, although I have to make it a tad tighter than the smallest setting still (which is not a big deal since it is velcro. I've worn it both over a shirt and next to my skin, and it doesn't rub or chafe or do anything uncomfortable.

The first time I used it, I was listening with headphones also, and told my husband that I liked it, but would just have to trust that it was working, because how else would I know? I'm not in my belly after all! Well, the next time I used it without headphones on myself, I learned that if you have it up to its highest setting, you can definitely hear it, so it definitely works!! Now if the baby comes out loving (or perhaps hating) The Beatles and Ben Folds, we'll know if its actually hearing it, haha.

My only complaint is that the pocket is a TAD snug. I can definitely fit the iPod, headphones, and connector cord all in there at the same time, but its cozy, and makes it a bit of a pain to take out the iPod and change the music.

All in all I would definitely recommend it, I personally think its worth the money and like the idea that I am getting to impart my musical taste on the baby before my husband can, haha.

ETA: As the baby got older, I could definitely feel him respond to it.

I really like this because you can connect it to your own ipod. I saw some other products like this that only came with their own program of music or whatever it was. I thought at first that because it only has one speaker that it wouldn't be loud enough, but it seems to be, plus the amnoitic fluid amplifies sound. I also like the material and how it's very flexible for size. And the option of getting an adapter and another set of headphones so that I can listen to is very nice!

My husband and I are expecting our first child after seven years of trying to conceive, and we're both incredibly excited! My husband got this for me as a surprise Mother's Day gift, and it's fantastic. It really helps both of us feel more connected to Baby, and he always starts "dancing" when the music comes on. Lots of kicks and punches! Love it!! I often plug my phone in to the port (rather than an .mp3 player) and simply play Pandora Internet Radio through the Lullabelly. When I'm at work, I can use the included splitter and headphones while listening along.

As a plus sized woman (size 24 pre-pregnancy), my only issue was that it just fit (about 1.5 inches of "room" left) around my pregnant tummy (currently 27 weeks), and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to use it for long. Enter Lullabelly.com and their excellent customer service department! I saw that I could order a 10-inch extension for the belt in the same color, and customer service said I only needed to pay shipping (less than $3 for me). They were very prompt in responding - first contact within 24 hours and every other question answered within 30 minutes! My extension is now on it's way, and I'm equally excited and relieved that I'll be able to continue using this product through the remainder of my pregnancy.

My husband and I are both "gadgety" and musically-inclined people, but we'd been leery of spending a lot of money on any kind of pre-natal/pregnancy gadget because of wondering, "Is it worth it?" The cost of this is relatively low though, and the impact (baby dancing!) is immediate and seems to really help make the upcoming arrival of our son feel real. It's definitely helped with bonding, especially when husband gets to feel Baby "dance" too! I highly recommend this!
