This is a GREAT Cd to add to your lullaby collection - the arrangements & songs are not what you find on your typical lullaby cds, and that is refreshing especially when you have an extensive lullaby collection such as I do! My husband is Irish, and there are several Irish songs on the CD that we love. My baby calms right down when I rock her to this cd - I got it as a gift and think it would be a great gift for other mothers/babies. Susie did an excellent job - highly recommend!! Another one you'd probably like is Susie's "Lullaby Themes for Sleepy Dreams."

I recently came across this CD in a boutique baby shop and immediately decided to buy it because I'm always looking for more lullaby albums. I'm so glad I happened to find this! I've always loved "Suo Gan", so I was absolutely enchanted to hear Susie Tallman's version. I always want to hang out in my daughter's room after she's asleep just to listen to this. The song versions are slightly different from the original arrangements, but are absolutely soothing.

I first heard this CD when my daughter was two months old. One day my normally happy baby was inconsolable; you know the scene -- cranky baby, frazzled mother, the loop of tension that feeds on itself. I put the CD on and let the sounds wash over us.

My baby quieted down almost immediately and snuggled into me as I rocked her. She listened to the first few songs attentively. The music mellowed her and she slowly, sweetly drifted off. I took a nap with a little angel in my arms. It was a wonderful bonding experience.

Susie's lovely voice lulls babies to dreamland very peacefully --and calms moms also.

Together we listen to Sleepy Eyes' sweet songs -- these aren't your typical overplayed lullabies -- and now my baby recognizes the tunes, which have become part of our beddy-bye routine.

We received this CD as a gift and I highly recommend it. Buy it for yourself. Buy it for new parents. Buy it for the little one you love.

Lullabies for Sleepy Eyes is another one of Susie Tallman's classics. Her beautiful voice brings out the best in these classic lullaby tunes. Whether you are trying to put your child to sleep in the car or at home, it is a must. This is a staple when you have small children. Sit back, relax and enjoy...

Each song is a musical work of art. Familiar songs such as "Summertime" and "Rock-a-Bye, Baby" sound fresh with new harmonies and a variety of accompanying instruments. The unfamiliar songs (some in other languages) are eqally high quality. Susie's lovely voice is warm and comforting. This is one "children's" CD that does not get annoying with repetition. My one-year-old grandson and I enjoy this soothing CD daily.

I bought Susie Tallman's CD, Lullabies for Sleepy Eyes within hours of learning that I was pregnant with my first child. I played it dozens of times over the following months to warm my heart as I prepared for nurturing a new life. It helped center me to a place of peace and serenity.
I never tired of the diverse array of music on the CD. The songs are sophisticated in instruments and melody, yet are appealing for the youngest listeners. Susie's voice is the closest thing I can imagine to an Angel singing. I was fortunate to hear her perform in person and have been mesmerized by her voice since. How wonderful it must be for an artist to share her unique talent with the rest of the world.
I highly recommend this CD if you are expecting, have a child or just want to relax and enter a state of calmness.

We were given Lullabies for Sleepy Eyes as a gift when my son was 4 weeks old. From that day until he was a year old, we played it every evening as we bathed and nursed Miles. The music was the central point of this sweet daily ritual. As soon as we put it on, it became the calming of the day. It is simply lovely.
And, the artwork is as great as the music. Often during diaper changes, I will hand my son the Cd case to look at and it proves to be a most necessary distraction.
I have since bought all of Susie's CD's and have also given them as gifts.
Buy this CD, it is beautiful and rich.

Like Lullaby Themes for Sleepy Dreams, her other CD, this is incredibly beautiful and well-arranged music--not just kiddie stuff. But unlike the other CD these are really unusual lullabies. Singing and songs so lovely they make me weepy sometimes, lying there with my boy listening to them. (He loves them too.)

This cd is beautiful and includes unique versions of some favorite lullabies as well as some I'd never heard before. Susie Tallman's voice is enchanting, and the songs are not in any way annoying if the melodies get caught up in your head (some other cds are relentless!). I play the music while my baby and I wind down before she goes to bed and it works like a charm!

This cd is the BEST GIFT you can give new parents - it's like giving the gift of peace! As a new mom I have listened to many lullaby cds and none of them are as soothing as this one. Besides being a huge sleep-inducer for the baby, this album relaxes the parent and makes you want to rock just a little longer even if the sleep goal has been reached. Never underestimate the power of lullabies, especially those on this cd!
