5.0 out of 5 stars We couldn't get by without it
I got this CD to send to my mother's when she babysat while my husband and I left state for a job interview. (I figured they might be lullabies that my dad could tolerate.) Little did I know how great it would be! My son loves this CD and instantly calms when we play it. (Particularly the Don McLean song, "Wonderful Baby") I think the messages in the songs are...

1.0 out of 5 stars Very Disappointed
I wish I hadn't bought this CD. It sounded promising but has been a big disappointment. The songs are not very child oriented and some are just negative, especially the Don McLean song. There are many other good CD's...this one is not worth the money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great CD! Adult music that soothes babies!, November 8, 2000
By A Customer
I love this CD! If my daughter starts to fuss in the car I start the CD and she immediately gets quiet and usually goes to sleep. My husband and I haven't gotten tired of it yet either and that's after 6 months of listening to it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, June 20, 2009
I'm 17 years old now, but when I was a kid, I shared a room with my little brother - who was actually born the year this came out. My mom would put the casette of this on the little boombox every night, and I would go to sleep to these songs - saying this, I can only associate these songs with good feelings and sweet dreams. Listening to it now nearly brings tears to my eyes, and at the very least, gives me goosebumps.

I have to give this 5 stars because I can testify that it worked perfectly as what it was required for; a nice album with soothing sounds that put me to sleep nearly every night as a kid.

5.0 out of 5 stars I LOVE this cd!!, August 26, 2005
By
I bought this cd for my first son, now 5 and used to sing quite a few of the songs regularly, especially Dream a little Dream. Once I read the lyrics to Songbird I thought how perfect, thats exactly how I feel about my children, I sang along often with son # 2. I am now looking forward to sharing the songs with my daughter due in November! I highly recommend it, especailly for those of us who grew up listening to alot of these artists!!

Happy singing and swaying!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Lullabies for Daycare Workers, July 6, 2002
By
I work in the Infant Room at a Daycare center and this is one of the few CD's that I can stand to listen to, especially for during naptime. The songs are classic are good for humming along to, plus I can listen to it over and over on repeat and I never get sick of it. I listen to this CD at least 3-4 times during a work day. The kids seem to like it too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Some great songs., July 27, 2004
By
Overall, this is a really great album. There are a few tracks that stink. But Wonderful Baby, First Snow in Kokomo and Waterwheel are the most wonderful songs. I listen to this album while nursing because the songs are adult-oriented but not necessarily for putting a baby to sleep. The lyrics are also included for those of us who like to sing along.

All-in-all, this album is worth buying for five or six of the songs.

This CD was the very first one that my daughter, now 2, was exposed to and she and I loved it. Just pick your child up and swing around the floor to the songs. Lovely!

This is a wonderful nap/quiet time CD. Has songs that parents/teachers will enjoy hearing frequently. This is a favorite with our family and my preschool class!

Nice collections of songs -- very soothing for mom and baby. A winner! (I didn't give it 5 stars because of one song that I don't like ..but it's tolerable)
