Lullaby Berceuse: A Warm Prairie Night

My 9 year old daughter goes to sleep listening to this CD close to 300 nights a year and has done so all her life. Her dad and I love it, too, as have all her baby-sitters (most of whom have bought a copy for themselves). We regularly give this CD to new parents and they and their children always love it, too.

My daughter also enjoys the Jim Weiss bedtime CD's (Good Night and Sweet Dreams), but we always come back to this beautiful collection of lullabies after a couple of nights away from them. If we forget to bring Lullaby Berceuse along when we travel, I have to sing these songs to her myself at bedtime.

These songs are beautiful as are the voices that sing them. I'd highly recommend this CD for anyone, not just parents or children. It honestly will enrich your life.

I can't really give a product any higher review than to say that I've given it to every friend who has had a baby for the last 5 years! If you happen to speak both English and French this will be especially great since there are a number of bilingual songs. But, even if you don't speak French the songs and melodies are beautiful and peaceful and you won't get tired of hearing it over and over and a lot of them are English only. It got to the point where I would play it on my laptop to put the kids to bed when we were staying in hotels since they didn't want to go to bed without their "sleepy music." I smile just seeing the cover of this cd and remembering watching the kids sleeping with this playing when I checked in on them at night.

I worked in child care before I became a teacher. We had this CD for naptime. I made a scrapbook based on "I Have You" from this CD and gave the CD to her at the shower. A very soothing collection of songs. I would recommend that adults listen to it to relax!

When we put on Lullaby Berceuse, my 6-month-old daughter already quiets down and listens with recognition to the lovely melodies. She seems to know that it means that bedtime is approaching. We listen and sing along. I've already heard this CD nearly 1000 times, and yet I still enjoy the beautifully arranged music and can picture a warm prairie night with breezes coming through the screen door. Kudos to Ms Kaldor for creating music that both parents and babies enjoy.

From experience, I can tell you that "Lullaby Berceuse" is the most perfect Baby Shower, Kids' Birthday, Good Luck, Hope-You're- Feeling-Better, Mother's (or Father's) Day, Grandparent, Any Occasion GIFT that you can possibly find! AND, Connie Kaldor's "I Have You" is absolutely the loveliest piece of music EVER written! Each time you play it, indulge yourself and sing it along with Connie...her voice, the music, the words are all breathtakingly beautiful. Connie's work (and Carmen Campagne's, too) can always be counted upon to be something wonderful...but, "Lullaby Berceuse" is just too great to be given ONLY five stars!!!
