I completely wore out the cassettes of Magic 1 & 2 using them w/my first grandchild....she still loves to listen to them when she comes to my house to spend the night...now it's time for grandbaby #3 and I want to share the memories again with this new little one...these songs never fail to calm the most fretful baby and just lying there listening to them helps you remember all those "special" moments...Joanie Bartels is #1 in my book!!

My mom must have bought me this cassette the year it came out (1985), and I remember falling asleep to it for years. I had long since lost/forgotten it, but upon hearing an instrumental version of "goodnight, my someone" on the radio recently, the memories of the songs came flooding back to me. With a quick internet search, I have happily found the CD again and bought a copy for my newborn godson (as well as a copy for myself)! The songs are truly magical and a wonderful treat for any age!

I BOUGHT THIS CASSETTE OVER 10 YEARS AGO WITH MY FIRST CHILD. HE WAS MESMERIZED BY HER GENTLE VOICE. AND I DON'T CARE TO ADMIT THAT I ALSO FELL ASLEEP MANY TIMES MYSELF. WE WORE THE TAPE OUT AND I WASN'T ABLE TO FIND ANOTHER FOR MY SECOND CHILD 2 YEARS LATER. NOW I HAVE A NEWBORN AND I AM SO PLEASED TO BE ABLE TO PURCHASE A CD VERSION FOR HER. MY HUSBAND SUGGESTED THAT I SEARCH HERE FIRST, THANK YOU, I WILL BE PURCHASING A COUPLE MORE OF HER RECORDINGS TO GO ALONG WITH THE LULLABIES. THIS IS THE BEST COLLECTION AND I RECOMMEND IT HIGHLY!

Joanie Bartels' soothing voice and the gentle accompanying music will calm even the fussiest child. I got my first copy of this lullaby collection from my sister ten years ago when my second child was born. Now, all four of my children, ages 3 to 11, love the songs. I wore the original cassette to shreds and have been searching for a replacement for years. This collection of beautiful songs will be in our family for generations. Thanks to Amazon.com for having just what I needed!

I bought Lullaby Magic I and 2 years ago for my infant daughter. She now listens to rock but I still love the Lullaby tapes. The music instantly calms me better than the yoga postures I struggle with. Lullaby Magic is a calming classic for all ages.

This is a great CD,but I prefer Angels All Around with its smooth transition between songs. Angels All around is a must have for anyone with a baby!!!!!

I got this tape when my daughter was born 3 years ago and LOVED it! I just bought the CD for baby #2. This music is so soothing. It is very special, I think the simple music really compliments Ms. Bartels voice.

Classic lullaby, beautifully done!

Just like the other customers, my cassettes are worn out by the night after night of play. Lullaby Magic I is my absolute favorite and highly recommend it. Occassionally my children's routines would get messed up for some reason or another but they could always count on ending their day by listening to Lullaby Magic. The music is so soothing. When my son was three and the cassette was finished on one side, he would holler out, "Turn mucus over". What a memory. I still sing to my children (ages 7 and 10) these wonderful songs whenever they ask. I look forward to singing these same songs to my grandchildren one day. Thanks Joanie for wonderful lullabyes.

The first time we played this in the car, my baby went right to sleep and my husband and I were laughing because we found ourselves almost in tears at the sweetness of the songs and loveliness of her voice. It's a great calming selection of songs, both sung and instrumental. If you buy only one lullaby tape, buy this one, it's worth every penny.

I'm so happy to find this in CD format! I received the audio cassette of this album as a gift with my first child 19 years ago. I babysat for several years and taught in a preschool with a rest time for 11 years, and this is still by far the best lullaby album I have ever heard. So beautiful, so soothing. I still love it after all these years.
