solid chair
I was a little surprised how solid this chair feels, given that it's major allure is the novelty of the shape. My 7 year old wanted this when she saw something similar on the side of a cereal box and she loves it. I recommend Scotchguard.

It's cute but not functional!
Interior designer: I ordered this chair as a novelty pc. for a boys rooms. Once he saw the chair it was all he wanted! We listen to what the client wants and in this case the client loved the look of this chair. A typical 9 year old boys response. The package was pretty banged up when it arrived, however the contents were undamaged. The box came with three items...

I ordered this chair as a novelty pc. for a boys rooms. Once he saw the chair it was all he wanted! We listen to what the client wants and in this case the client loved the look of this chair. A typical 9 year old boys response. The package was pretty banged up when it arrived, however the contents were undamaged. The box came with three items (top, base and heavy hardware to essentially hook the top to the base). It was easy enough to assemble myself and felt sturdy. This is a heavy peice! The fabric is the kind of melted felt that will attract and hold on to every tiny little pc of dust. IT is really a horrible fabric for any seating! I am looking for some type of spray on repellent now. The seat itself isn't too uncomfortable but the back is horrid! It is a very hard uncomfortable back. Even the kid was disaappointed. Not enough to return it, but he wants pillows to put around the inside edge now as it is VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I gave it three stars. We bought it for it's unique appearance not it's comfort. Michele

Purchased this for my daughter's room and it is adorable! Super happy that an item this heavy was delivered to Hawaii with no shipping cost! That's unheard of with other vendors! Love love love Amazon for understanding that Hawaii is a part of the United States and that USPS, FedEx, and UPS all deliver to this beautiful state! lol
Anyway, chair is really cute and feels sturdy and can even fit this mom's butt...so that alone makes it 5 stars! ;-)

I GOT ONE FOR MY TWINS FOR $6 AT THE SECOND HAND STORE. NOW I AM SEARCHING FOR A SECOND ONE FOR MY OTHER TWIN AND AM SUPRISED HOW EXPENSIVE THOSE ARE. I WOULD HAVE TO BE CRAZY TO PAY OVER A $100 FOR THIS!!!!
