5.0 out of 5 stars Amazingly seductive music, June 16, 2005

This review is from: Luminal (Audio CD)
This album is, for the most part, an surprising blend of music that's at once very familiar, yet I've never heard it before. Most tracks work their magic and just sound....right, for lack of a better word. I've been playing this disc in my car for about 6 months or so, and I rarely get tired of it. As The Day Goes By is just perfect, and Razz always captivates. Move On is another gem, sounds familar and does everything right. Tumbledown has a faint country-western echo, and London Fields is just gorgeous. The only track that mars the effort is Ten Tons of Dope. Just skip it. Overall, this is the best work by Sounds From The Ground, and I'm eagerly awaiting their next CD.

4.0 out of 5 stars tracks: Razz and Poems, December 28, 2005

I bought this albulm because of Track #3: "RAZZ". That alone was what made me want to buy this CD. To my surprise not only was RAZZ good, but "POEMS" is another excellent blend of downtempo mixes. I was somewhat satisfied with this CD, but I wish all the tracks were as inspiring as "RAZZ" and "POEMS".

4.0 out of 5 stars Trolling Serius radio yields hidden treasure, June 25, 2011

I happen to catch "London Fields" while skimming channels on Serius satellite radio. I was captivated by this hauntingly beautiful song which is a track from Luminal by Sounds From the Ground. This song alone is worth the price of the CD twice over to me but there are other tracks which provide listening pleasure. If you, like me, are not well acquainted with the genre of synthesized melody I highly recomend you enter that world through Luminal by SFTG. I don't think you'll regret it.
