This review is from: Luminarc Arcuisine Tempered Glass Measuring Cup 4 Cup
I bought this item specifically because it is supposed to be a tempered glass product and I needed to heat it. I was aware that Pyrex is no longer tempered, so this was my substitute. The first, and only, time I used this measuring cup, I heated it over a low flame to heat some milk for hot chocolate. After warming the milk, I washed out the measuring glass and left it on my counter. Approximately NINE HOURS later, late at night, my husband and I heard a large crash. Our kids were asleep, so we went looking for the noise, thinking someone had broken into our home! In the kitchen, we saw the source of the noise. The measuring cup had simply exploded. Glass was everywhere. I couldn't believe it. I tried to write to Luminarc, but they don't have a "contact us" section of their web page, so I left a comment, in English, on their French web site. Do NOT buy these products, they are not safe.
