cesium_137 doing what they do best,

okay, so - the 'elemental' album was one of the best albums to come out in years from the industrial dance/ebm/synthpop genre, and what a wide genre it is.
my initial suggestion - watch how much you're willing to spend for this album. why? because only a handful of the tracks are new. the rest are remixes. not that they're bad, mind you, it's just that i have this thing against artists [and especially from this genre] who release entire albums of nothing but remixed tracks from earlier albums. is it to squeeze another couple of bucks out of the fans? is it to whet the appetite for a soon.to.be.released brand new album? or have they simply lost their creativity and are searching desperately to find it again, and release a remix album to keep people from wondering - "well, what ARE they doing?" who knows. but what i do know is that cesium_137 has definitely caught my attention for the time being, and i'll be playing this album in the meantime. |
