A superb casual watch,
By E. M. Van Court "Van, emvc (at) lycos.com" (Honolulu, Hawai'i, USA) - See all my reviews (TOP 500 REVIEWER) (VINE VOICE) Pro's- The luminous stuff on the hands and face (tritium vials) is bright. I mean really, REALLY bright. None of this hold it under a light" silliness, but wake up at three thirty in the morning and have no trouble reading it. The twelve o'clock tritium vial is orange not green, acting as an index point even in complete darkness. See remark about 0330 hrs. The bezel can be turned reasonably easily, but won't turn by itself when you are not looking. Accuracy is good. Shock resistance, overall durability is very good (damage to my first watch was purely my fault and exceeded any reasonable expectation of survival). Con's The Navy SEAL propaganda can be mildly annoying. The bezel is synthetic (plastic), and after two or three years of use starts to go smooth and the numbers start to wear off. The luminous stuff on the hands and face (tritium vials) is bright. I mean really, REALLY bright. This con is a special case. If a service member wants to wear this watch in the field, one of those watchbands with the flap to cover the face is a REALLY good idea. The synthetic strap isn't so good. I replace the watch band with a nylon/velcro one on the first day. The little compass that comes with it is a wasted effort, get a Suunto watchband compass. Same size, superior in every way. On the whole, a tremendous value for money, and when I abuse my current one beyond usefulness, I will certainly get another one.

My favorite watch,
By Haven't had to purchase any others yet, although I'd like the black face version. But it seems possible, although definitely annoying, that the negative experience by one of the reviewers here was a fluke (I'd like to hope that anyway). My watch has been put through a lot and I continue to strap it on everyday and enjoy wearing it.

*** WARNING -- DO NOT BUY YOUR LUMINOX WATCH FROM AMAZON.COM ***
LUMINOX WILL SAY AMAZON.COM IS NOT AN "AUTHORIZED" SELLER AND WILL NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. Mine broke in a year and I just had this problem.

It's not durable or long-lasting!,
By SoCal Windsurfer (Los Angeles, CA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Luminox Men's 3003 Original Navy SEAL Dive Watch (Watch)
It's a great looking watch, and you'd think it would be super durable given its association with the Navy Seals. However, looks and advertising are deceiving. Mine lasted about 14 months before it stopped working. Past the warranty cut-off, and not worth the cost to repair. It still looks good. Consider another brand sports watch....

Luminox Men's Original Navy SEAL Dive Watch #3003,
This review is from: Luminox Men's 3003 Original Navy SEAL Dive Watch (Watch)
These watches are very durable and dependable. I love the lighted dial and the scratch proof lens. Normally I do not like to wear a watch but this watch is very comfortable. If you work inside or outside it works great! Ordering from Amazon is cheaper to buy from then most sites and they are worth the money and they have a great guarantee. If it's good enough for the Navy Seals it ought to be good enough for you!

Finally stopped working after 7 years and hundreds of dives,
By Howard (Washington, DC) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Luminox Men's 3003 Original Navy SEAL Dive Watch (Watch)
Bought Luminox 3003 model (blue face) in 2001 and have worn it almost constantly for seven years for diving, hiking, biking and camping trips. Despite rough usage, never had a scratch on the watch face, never had it come off. Oriningally, the rubber strap was a bit too wide for the clasp. Trimmed it a bit. Used it for dives all over the world and never had a problem. The white numbers on the bezel are about 1/2 worn off. Took it to a dive shop in late 2008 to get the battery replaced The watch was no longer keeping time accurately (the second hand hung up.) Also wanted gasket replaced since moisture was appearing on the inside of the face. Problem was not the battery -- water infiltation into the watch. Not worth the cost to repair it vs. a buying a new one.
