To put it simply, this watch is really cool! The nylon band holds the watch still on your wrist, helping the fit by making you unaware of it. More importantly, the face is very scratch resistant. Finally, the top-left quarter blue-toned numbers allow you to assess the time quickly, accurately in the dark. A+ !

This watch is great. I've wanted a Luminox for a long time, but couldnt bring my self to pay $200+ for a watch. I'm glad I finally did. This watch is worth it. It is very comfortable, I haven't taken it off. It looks great, and at night the lamination on the face looks awesome. It is blue and yellow. So far it is scratch resistant. The band is a grey nylon strap with a regular watch buckle. I'm sure you can replace it with another strap, but I'm happy with this one. Being nylon it is very strong, it stretches a bit when it's wet and gets a little loose, but as it dries it comes back to original size. The bezel thingy spins counter clockwise, and makes a very satisfying click noise. The day date is at the 3 o'clock position. The time is easy to read day or so light. Has 12 and 24 hour time in arabic numerals. The minuet hand is a little longer than most watches I've had, makes reading the time easier. Surrounding the time is a walking speed scale for all of your recon applications. I haven't found a use for it, but cool none the less. The walking speed scale comes in Imperial or Metric. I did not know this when I purchased mine, so I have Metric (which isn't a bad thing, metric is pretty Useful). Overall the watch is perfect. You could spend a lot more money for the more expensive Luminox watches, but I'm not sure how the watch would be much better. I guess their made from better materials, but for $200-$400 more, It better be made of Vibranium.

Pros: It is a good watch, exactly what I ordered. I've had it for only a month, but so far so good. What I like the most is the night vision.
Cons: it was sent from china and i was espeting it from switzerland
Paid for this watch 30 euros more than i was expected (in tax) and I received it a day after that was promised (delay at customs).
DiscountShop.com gives one year warranty on this product which covers only manufacturing defects and gives only two weeks to sign in and activate a free guarantee. I found out about this small detail two weeks later, so now i am on my on without any warranty.
I think it is unfair because the warranty on a product should be automatic and not like in this case subject to activation the warranty in a period of 2 weeks.

So far, very pleased. Very light and just the right size for my wrist. Really good and simple design, which makes telling time very easy just by glancing at the watch. Mostly what attracted me to this model were the hands....simple straight lines, no curves, needle shapes, or circles. Not flashy, but very readible. Very practical! The crystal is actually bigger than d inner bezel which adds to the openness and readability. The minute hand is, I think, longer than what you normally see on other watches and that also helps to read time easy. The ZULU strap is very nice, comfortable and secure....good combination with the watch. There is only one feature I eould change...the crown. Design is good, but could be screw-in crown instead of push-pull. I just feel more comfortable with the screw-in design. I think its more secure. There really isn 't much to not like about the watch. Under $300 price range, well worth it. Highly recommend!!

The best watch that I have ever purchased. I am currently using it in Afghanistan and needless to say after everything I have put it through, it still works as well as the day I got it. I highly recommend this watch, it can take a beating and never give out.

I've wanted a Luminox for years and finally pulled the trigger when I saw this one offered on a lightning deal that put it in the sub $200 range. More accurately, I've wanted a tritium h3 watch for years, since back when Luminox was the only provider and people would say Luminox referring to tritium technology much like when people would say Xerox referring to paper copying technology. Being disabled makes it a chore for me to push a (small) button to turn on a light on a watch but with Luminox the hands and hour markers are equipped with small glass vials filled with tritium gas that glows when a small electrical charge is introduced, doing away with the need to do anything to see the time in low light, or no light, conditions and supposedly will continue to glow for 25 years. But now that I have one it's even better than I expected as the tritium gas vials are brighter than I expected and provide their benefits long before complete darkness falls. I can safely say I will never buy another non-tritium watch.
All Luminox watches provide the tritium lighting technology but I chose this particular watch as my first for a number of reasons aside from it being a lightning deal. For me, the lighter a watch is the better and I knew their carbon reinforced poly case was lighter than a metal case and, from all I've read, has a good reputation for being rugged as well. It's maybe a little heavier than I expected but still very comfortable even after 12 hours.
Another reason I chose this watch had to do with numerous comments from reviewers as to how it's design makes it even easier and faster to acquire the time. Tritium gas is available in a number of colors and their use and layout helps to facilitate how quickly you can discern the time, especially in low light situations. And like many of the tritium watches, there is a light positioned at the 12 o'clock position on the bezel to help your eye orient to the watch face when the bezel is in it's "home" position but it also shows the bezel's positioning when it's rotated for some purpose such as in determining elapsed time for example. However a rotated bezel defeats it being used for determining the 12 o'clock position that's needed for rapid time acquisition. Also I noticed that when I turn my wrist to look at the time the 12 o'clock position is not always at the topmost position because my wrist is not in a perfectly horizontal attitude. But as I had read, the design of this watch accounts for this problem. The tritium hour markers for nine through twelve are yellow instead of blue like the rest and are perpendicular to the circumference instead of parallel like the others, and I can quickly orient the watch face and read the time in low light situations because I can locate 12 o'clock immediately regardless of my wrist's orientation or the bezel's rotation. And even though this issue is less of a problem in good lighting Luminox made the colors for the numbers on the watch face for nine through twelve blue instead of White like the rest. If I had been able to choose a color for these numbers I would have preferred orange but I like the blue.
The other features such as the 24 hour markings and the walking speed scale can be useful to a military recon sort and are interesting to have but are not likely to be used by me. But another reason I chose this model was because it has the NATO strap. I have always found a NATO or nylon strap to be, by far, the most comfortable type of strap available, especially when wearing the watch for long periods. I own eight watches but always favor the two with NATO straps for that reason. I've worn this watch ever since it arrived and could not be happier with my purchase. To top it all off, the coloring of the hands and face also make this watch the easiest to read of any I own even in bright sunlight. And, not that it's important or in my experience the norm, but I think it's the first one I own where the second hand perfectly aligns with the minute markings on the face. I know some other reviews mentioned their's didn't but I lucked out. Oh, and I need to mention how surprised and pleased I was to find out this watch comes with a sapphire crystal with the anti-reflective coating when even many of their more expensive models do not. The only thing left as to my overall satisfaction will be the durability factor but it has an excellent track record and I know the swiss Rhonda movement has not only been proven accurate but durable so I don't think I need worry.

So far so good, believe it or not this is actually right now my casual "fancy" watch haha. I usually wear my Garmin watch for work (aviation and military) so I got this because I always wanted a Luminox and I wanted a more casual watch for going out that still was functional and tough. Arrived quickly in under two days (gotta love the 2day Prime Shipping), packaging was impressive, came in a small pouch almost like a sun glass case with straps on the back so it would fit on a chest rack or anything with molle webbing (not really sure what you would strap this to and for what reason but cool I guess), quality packaging! As for the watch, its very comfortable and works as advertised. Got it as a lightning deal and was a very good deal. So far the watch has met and exceeded expectations, it's very comfortable and I love the nylon band, one of the things that originally drew me to the watch was the color of the face and illumination, I love the way it's set up and is very functional. So far after a few weeks of use I have no complaints, if anything changes in the future I will update my review. Look forward to enjoying my Luminox I have finally splurged on!

The tritium tubes in this Luminox are a bit brighter than my other Luminox watch, but still not quite as bright as my Traser. I don't know if there's poor quality control with the supplier of the tubes, but it tells me you may get inconsistent quality with Luminox. The dial itself is quite legible, particularly in the dark, and the extra tiny tritium tube at the 12 o'clock position of the bezel makes that useful in the dark as well. It's a fairly thick watch, which can be justified by the water resistance and the additional thickness of the tubes in the three-hand movement. I like this Zulu strap better than a nato strap as I can pull the additional length back over the outside of the strap and it will still lay flat. With a nato strap, I have to fold it under, making it harder to put on and take off.

I had been wanting a luminox watch for over a decade and I wasn't disappointed with this watch. Sapphire face and swiss movement make this quiet and tough, I am law enforcement and have no doubts this watch will be taking tons of abuse with no issues. The tritium is only t25 so it isn't extremely bright but it is viewable in low light with no issues. Overall I'm very happy, btw I assumed the band was junk and was considering buying a different one right off but I'm glad I didnt because it fits well and looks good.

I only chose four out of five stars because I ordered this for my boyfriend, not myself.
I must say, though, he raves about this watch almost every day since I gave it to him. He works in construction and has had this watch for over a month now and has not one scratch on it! This is surprising and impressive to me as all my watches are dinged up. I'm thinking of ordering one for myself now!
