My Brother has a Luminox watch that he's had for 12 years now, it's not this one but very similar. Recently he just replaced the battery for the first time which amazed me. He talked to me how durable his watch was so it made me very interested in buying a Luminox. I did my research and I found the Luminox 3152.BO Stainless PVD Watch, which looked beautiful with it being a Blackout. I have had it for one month now and I do not regret buying this watch a ounce. The quality is hands down tremendous; my two year old son already dropped it, not a scratch. I also love how it glows in the dark; it is really bright but not so bright where it will keep you up at night if light bothers you. I highly recommend this watch to Luminox fans and people who are looking to buy a quality watch. Worth every penny.

I just received my new Luminox 3152 BO. I wanted to write an in depth review because I was not able to find such anywhere on the Internet. Please keep in mind I have only owned this watch for a few hours. So actual reliability is something I will not touch on.
This is my first Luminox watch. But the watch had several features that intrigued me.
First the watch is called a "Black Out" watch. The face of the watch is black. The Arabic numbers on the watch are also black. This makes it hard to see the numbers under normal light conditions. However they do have what Luminox calls "Night Vision Tubes" at each 5 minute increment. The "Night Vision Tubes" are also on the hour, minute and second hand. During normal lighting situations, these "Night Vision Tubes appear to be white in color. In low light situations, the hour, minute, second hand and numbers 1 - 11 appear to be blue in color. The 12:00 position appears orange in color. (This helps orientate the watch in low light situations)
These night vision tubes are not very bright and appear no brighter than a typical watch with illuminating hands. (The type you stick under a lamp to charge) But apparently you do not need to stick the Luminox under a light. Luminox states these Night Vision Tubes are supposed to be good for 25 years.
The day calendar is at the 3:00 position and numerals are also in white.
The case is made of stainless steel as well as the band. Both are black and the watch feels substantial in weight. I am a fairly large guy and was worried that the watch band may not fit. The watch came with all the links set at the longest position and it did just fit.
The bezel rotates in one direction only. This is so if you bump the bezel,....

I have owned this watch for just under a year now. Within the first two weeks of wearing it, the crystal face started accumulating scratches, which is something I have never had a problem with on any other watch--Casio, Timex, Fossil, and Tag Heuer. In addition, the band, which is black stainless steel, has also faded and is riddled with scratched. At $380, I certainly wasn't expecting the quality of a Tag, but with all of the advertising hype around this watch being a "Navy Seal" watch, I expected a reasonable amount of ruggedness which this watch completely lacks. Recently, on a day when I was indoors and not doing anything Seal-like, the face cracked. I called the authorized Luminox repair center in Rhode Island, explained my dissatisfaction and was told that the problem wouldn't be covered by warranty and that I would have to pay approximately $70 to have a new face put on. The repair center is a third party repair center, so there was no point in arguing or getting mad at the lady who told me that it was a corporate policy of Luminox not to cover cracked glass--convenient way for Luminox to hide from dissatisfied customers. I now have to fork over the $70 to salvage my $380 investment, but once I get it back, it will be used strictly as a dress watch. Also, when I called the repair center and inquired about upgrading to a sapphire crystal instead of the mineral crystal (which Luminox acknowleges in the manual is soft and subject to marring) I was told that one was not available for my style of watch. The fact that they even put a scratch-prone face on their watches when they have another option available for what appears to be approxinately $25 more speaks volumes about the company and their products. Long story short, I am very disappointed in this watch.Read more ›

Apx 5 years ago I purchased the pro diver luminox, and I absolutely love it. I'm in the construction industry, and I really put this watch through its paces. In 5 years there still isn't the smallest scratch on the crystal , however the 3152 black out , in 2 weeks has micro scratches on the crystal. I'm very disappointed, it seems luminox has cheaped out. Don't buy this watch!!!!!!!

This is a nice solid watch that keeps good time. I have found that the metal band is easy to scuff and looses it's color. I'm not going to return it but it is disappointing...

I purchased this watch from Amazon/Watch Colony. I had to send it off to RI. to get it serviced because it stopped working.
The service center determined that it was not water resistant also the service center advised me that Amazon and Watch Colony are not authorized retailers of LUINOX. So my warranty is VOID and I have to pay for the repair out of my pocket.

I am also having fogging on the inside on an Invictia watch that I purchased through Amazon. I'm guessing it is not water resistant either.

    Buyer beware...............
