Different temperature comes up every time. Varies by a lot. Sometimes says I am running a fever when I am not. Sometimes says my temperature is normal when it is not. Worst one I have ever owned.
There is no need for date and time and whatever else is on there. They should have worried about it acurately reading your temperature.
Also, the voice on it is SUPER loud in your ear when it is done.

Looking for a great product for the blind? Keep looking!, February 22, 2009
This review is from: Lumiscope 2216 Talking Digital Ear Thermometer (Health and Beauty)
As a blind mom, I got one of these so I could use it for myself and for our kids. The voice is loud and clear, but that's the only thing that works right on this thing. Not only is it not clinically accurate it's not even in the ballpark. If your looking for a good product for the elderly, blind or low vision, or even something to make it easier as a sighted parent to use with your kids, THIS IS NOT IT. You're better off using the back of your hand to feel their forehead. That will get you more quick and accurate information than this thing will tell you. What a total and complete waste of money!

Great for my elderly parents, August 28, 2008
This review is from: Lumiscope 2216 Talking Digital Ear Thermometer (Health and Beauty)
I purchased this for my parents who are in their 80's and had a hard time reading the digital thermometer at night (when they were more likely to run fevers). It works great for them - this way they can both hear it and know if there is a problem. I feel better and can even have them take their temperature when I am on the phone to ensure that they are not having a problem.

a different number every time, January 12, 2007
This review is from: Lumiscope 2216 Talking Digital Ear Thermometer (Health and Beauty)
Pros: It's quick, easy to use, speaks loudly enough to understand, and has a talking clock feature as a bonus.
Cons: When I take my temperature 5 times in a row, I get 5 different readings, with as much as 1 degree F between the lowest and highest. I suppose that's what they meant by 0.5 degree F accuracy in the fine print.
