4.0 out of 5 stars Comfortable and great support for the price
I was satisfied the way the Lumiscope Rupture Easer Truss Double fits around the hips. Wasn't sure at first with the sizes. Make sure you measure the hips and not the waist. My hip size was 40" so I bought both the Medium Large#504DML(38"-41") and the Large#504DL(42"-45"). The Medium Large fitted just fine. The Large had too much leftover straps overhanging around the...

THis one has no elastic to provide tension. Its all based on keeping the adjusting straps snug.(in back) Tends to loosen when moving around doing yard work for example, but it has it's own kind comfort without the constant tension of the elastic types.
I use mine weekly. Washes easily in the machine and I hand dry it out.

The Large had too much leftover straps overhanging around the hips and ran out of adjustments around the legs. If your hips is 41" the snaps will be too tight on MED. Large. The truss has great support while sitting and standing. I've tried the Sport-Aid Med. truss belt but the velcro wrap around the waist was too elastic and tight. My hernia was on my left side but I bought a double to support both sides. If you order one just for one side you only get one leg support strap for that side. For the comfort and support and great price, I'd buy it again.Lumiscope Rupture Easer Truss Double, Medium Large

5.0 out of 5 stars Truss Review, November 2, 2008

I have a small hernia which will soon be repaired, and I find the truss very useful, especially for sports. I got a double, although a single would have been more appropriate, but I plan to use it as a precaution in lifting weights in the future. Make sure to take the measurement around the hips and order accordingly. The truss should go under the underwear. The straps adjust easily and can adjust the waist and also pull the pad against the hernia snugly. The truss is low profile, doesn't show, and is reasonably comfortable.

5.0 out of 5 stars good design, December 1, 2010

This is the third hernia support belt I've purchased. The two others had velcro buckles, which wear out quickly and constantly need re-tightening. This one has snaps (much better). Also, the pads on this belt actually cover the point of the rupture. The pads on the others did not. This belt is much lighter and rides lower, so it's not easy to tell I'm wearing a truss. It's not perfect, but it's the best I've worn so far.

5.0 out of 5 stars As Good As It Can Get!!!, June 5, 2010

This review is from: Lumiscope Rupture Easer Truss Double, Medium Large (Health and Beauty)
Initial confusion on how to assemble was replaced by having my wife help with the strapping. Fit is excellent, solves my protrusion problem. Washes very well for cleanup (ordered two). Does not come unfastened when bending over.

Extremly uncomfortable, rough material. Could not use. Bought small size based on other reviews. Would need at least a medium and possibly a large.
