I purchased Luna pillow protectors as a defense against dust mites, which both my daughter and I are allergic to. We were very pleased with the quality and they make no noise unlike the vinyl material ones we used to have. We have owned the pillow protectors for 6 months and have washed them many times without any issues. These have greatly helped us with our allergies so I wanted to pass the word on about this great addition to our bed!

I first heard about Luna Mattress Protectors while watching a local news segment about the bed bug epidemic and decided to add encasements to our mattresses as a precautionary measure. We purchased Luna box spring, mattress and pillow encasements. The encasements arrived in just a few days and were exactly what I had hoped they would be. The surface of the mattress and pillow encasement are completely silent and we can't even tell they're there. The tailoring and materials are impressive and I like the fact they are Made In America.

We don't have allergies, but we did like the dust mite proof and waterproof feature.

Great value, great product, highly recommend

If you are looking for a pillow protector, this is the one to buy. My wife and I just purchased a new mattress and purchased the Luna premium mattress protector for it (see review). We had also just bought new pillows and wanted to protect them as well. Apparently the salt and oil from your sweat degrades the materials in both your mattress and pillows. For the same reason I purchased the Luna brand mattress protector I decided on the Luna brand pillow protector. Their website was very informative and the price was significantly less then the protect-a-bed brand. The best part is that it is made in the USA! We have used it on our pillows for several nights now and there is no plastic noise, no sweating and I didn't even notice it is on the pillow. One thing I did do was to leave it unzipped slightly. Because of the water proof membrane it takes a few seconds for the air to escape (using on foam pillows). By leaving the zipper slightly unzipped the air escapes much quicker.

These pillow covers may or may not protect against dust mites, but I can tell you without a doubt, they are NOT waterproof.

If you are looking for water-proof pillow protectors, do NOT purchase this item.

I bought two because my son is still in diapers and leakage is always a problem. I was tired of washing his pillow (it is hard on them) and thought a water-proof cover would be a great solution. These are NOT AT ALL water-proof. As I had unpackaged, used and washed both of them by the time I discovered it . . . here I am.

I recently bought the Luna mattress protector because of all the high reviews it received. After receiving the mattress protector, I decided to buy protectors for all of our pillows, too. When I opened the package I was immediately impressed with the feel of the product. It is so soft that you can hardly tell the liner is plastic. I have two kids who have bedwetting accidents every so often and I have been through several of the rough plastic mattress protectors that tear after no time and make you sweat. I decided that it was finally time to put in a little extra money for something that would last. My fear was that the Luna wouldn't be fully water proof. I was proven wrong when it got tested last night, not by pee, but by red vomit. Amazingly enough, not any of it seeped through to the mattress. I have also tested the sweat factor with my husband who hates plastic pillow/mattress protectors because they make him sweat all night long. I put them on our bed without his knowledge and he has been sleeping on them for nights and hasn't even noticed. I have covered every bed and pillow in the house with a Luna protector and even bought an extra one for the kids beds so I wouldn't have to wait for one to wash and dry to put it back on. Thank God I did, because it came in very useful last night at 3:00 a.m. when I had to re-make the bed. FYI, they also do very well in the washer and dryer!

We ordered a set of Luna mattress covers and a pillow cover. They were delivered promptly and we are very pleased with the quality. We have family and friends visit regularly and we wanted to take some preventative measures for keeping our mattresses clean and safe. The mattress covers are very durable and fit well over the box springs, the mattress and pillow. To date, no one seems to notice that they are there. They are quiet and comfortable which is what we wanted to achieve.

As we reviewed the comments for some other manufacturer's mattress covers, we wanted to make sure that we got something that wouldn't tear either at the outset or after limited use. I think that these covers will last well.

We are very happy with this purchase

Due to a medical condition I'm cursed with night sweats and have discarded many pillows because of perspiration stains. Before investing in some high-dollar pillows I wanted to make sure I could protect them. For that, these definately do the trick. I also very much like being able to wash these every few weeks to get rid of any allergens.

The reason for a single star deduction is that I've found that these "sleep warm". They just don't seem to breath well. During not weather I find the need to remove them and switch to a less comfortable pillow that can be either washed or disposed of.

Your well-made and comfortably soft pillow protectors have greatly reduced my allergy and sinus congestion symptoms! VERY glad that I decided to replace my old thin pillow protectors!

Like the Luna mattress protectors we purchased, the pillow protectors were also what were looking for and are made with a quality cotton terry on top. They make no noise like the cheap pillow protectors and seem to be protecting us from dust mites as our allergy symptoms have been reduced since applying the pillow and mattress protectors. We're glad we found Luna and would definitely recommend them to others.

I recently figured out I was allergic to my mattress and pillow. I purchased both the Luna Mattress and pillow covers. They both seem very well made and fit perfect. They seem to be helping with my allergies. I also purchased these for my daughter who has asthma. She said they helped alot.
