5.0 out of 5 stars A Superbly Well-Written, Entertaining Novel, May 11, 2002
This review is from: Luna Parabella (Paperback)
Whenever I pick up a work of science fiction or fantasy, more than anything else, I hope to find originality. The setting may be familiar, the characters may seem like old friends, but please give me a new twist, a new angle, something, anything, that sets the book apart from the thousands of similar titles.

These are my thoughts as I open a new book, my thoughts as I began Luna Parabella by William Alan Rieser. Wow! Scarcely into Chapter 1, when lightning strikes a bowl of jellybeans in young Nugey's bedroom, I knew that I was in for an entirely original and fascinating read.

Luna Parabella is a collection of related fables, fables surrounding the colonization and evolution of life on the moon. We follow along with Ang, a young being with superior powers, as he observes human behavior and frequently manipulates events.
A superbly well-written, entertaining, unpredictable and thought-provoking novel, Luna Parabella reminded me of the works of Ray Bradbury.

This novel deserves a place on every science fiction lover's bookshelf. I highly recommend Luna Parabella.
