I first heard about Luna Mattress Protectors while watching a local news segment about the bed bug epidemic and decided to add encasements to our mattresses and pillows as a precautionary measure. What I liked about the Luna Box Spring Encasements is they use the same material on the box spring encasement as they do on the mattress encasement. I had read reviews about other box spring encasements and how their material would tear easily. The box spring encasements were easy to apply and we are very happy with the quality. The fact they are Made in America is a big plus too! My family and I would highly recommend this product for those looking for excellent quality and great protection against bed bugs.

The following sentence, that appears in the Product Description section of this web page, gives very inaccurate information: "After three months remove the box spring encasement and vacuum the dead bed bugs away."

Do a little research on the internet (for instance, go to the University of Kentucky's web site and search "bed bugs") and you'll find out that these creatures can live a year, or more, without feeding.

You will be exposing yourself to the possibility of live bed bugs if you wait only three months before removing the box spring encasement.
