I first heard about Luna Mattress Protectors while watching a local news segment about the bed bug epidemic and decided to add encasements to our mattresses and pillows as a precautionary measure. What I liked about the Luna Box Spring Encasements is they use the same material on the box spring encasement as they do on the mattress encasement. I had read reviews about other box spring encasements and how their material would tear easily. The box spring encasements were easy to apply and we are very happy with the quality. The fact they are Made in America is a big plus too! My family and I would highly recommend this product for those looking for excellent quality and great protection against bed bugs.

The following sentence, that appears in the Product Description section of this web page, gives very inaccurate information: "After three months remove the box spring encasement and vacuum the dead bed bugs away."

Do a little research on the internet (for instance, go to the University of Kentucky's web site and search "bed bugs") and you'll find out that these creatures can live a year, or more, without feeding.

You will be exposing yourself to the possibility of live bed bugs if you wait only three months before removing the box spring encasement.

I sprinkled some diatomaceous earth on my mattress and box spring and covered it with this. I can't remember the last time I've been bit by a beg bug now.

This was really easy to get on the box spring. I had already purchased mattress covers, but had been advised that the box spring is a favorite hiding area of bed bugs. So, nabbed this one, placed on the box spring, probably about 10 days after the place was fumigated and sprayed down. Haven't had any bites since... dunno if it was truly bed bugs since none were seen, but I like my mattress enough that I figured it was worth spending the cash to have it encased... travel a lot, and really never hope to have bites like that again.

This spring box encasement is easy to fit on the spring box, no torn away issues with this one as you would normally read in the reviews of other popular encasement available in the market. My bed is for regular use and previously I had bed bug problem in my apartment so i decided to go for this brand after reading its one review. It has very smooth and elegant exterior finishing and a good sealing zipper. I dont know how they have created this encasement which is a perfect blend of strength and beauty. As mentioned in other review, i found the exterior looks to be matching with the mattress encasement of the same brand. Its waterproof quality is an additional quality that I would say is simply amazing as it doesn't give any cheap plastic or PVC looks. So if you are looking for something to be protective for your bed and don't want to compromise on quality as well looks go for this. It has a very long life ahead. I am happy that I decided for this product for my bed.

'Nuff said-these things appear to work quite well. Its a little early, but after about a month or so with these on my bed, no bed bug bites. Before I was getting typical little clusters of bites, but now its all in the clear!

I purchased this to cover my 8" cotton/wool futon that we use as a mattress. It was getting damp from the winter weather and I was worried about bugs taking over! This is a great 2 in 1 solution. It is a thin, nylon like material with a waterproof inner layer. It is not krinkly and seems durable. It was easy to put on b/c a zipper is on all three sides. I researched the company and it's made in USA! The amazon price is only $2 less than company site.

This is a well-made, quality box spring encasement. It was easy to put it over the queen box spring - just stood it up and slid the cover down over it and zippered. Since this is a guest bed and used only when needed, we wanted to make sure our guests would never have to worry about sleeping on a guest bed.

This is a great product that has lasted very well over the last few weeks. It fitted over the bed pretty easily though I did require assistance.

I bought this encasement a while ago and the stitching where the fabrics are joined is shoddy. We just got it for allergy reasons, but the stitch length is very large, and if you have bedbugs they'll probably be able to sneak in and out of the casing, especially with holes in it! But for allergies it will do the trick. I also purchased an AllerZip mattress cover and the stitching on that is fantastic, and the material on it feels so much more durable and breathable. My box spring case started to get holes in it and tear around the corners even though we were very careful with it. The material just isn't what I expected. Trust me, save your money and buy two of the AllerZip mattress covers for your mattress and box spring right away.
