5.0 out of 5 stars I love these!
I have the LunchBots Uno and the Duo (okay, actually I have a couple of each) and they are fantastic! The best thing...no plastic. The Uno is the perfect size for a sandwich, a couple of hot dogs or burritos, or even some pasta. The Duo is great because I can put in two kinds of fruit, or some apples and almonds. They are the perfect size and little hands can open...

3.0 out of 5 stars Leaky...
I think the pros -- no more plastic bags, paper, or tupperware -- are great. Good for the environment. Unfortunately, the main con is that the lids are not very secure, so anything with oil, such as a salad, creates a bit of a sticky mess outside the box. Would be good for sandwiches and dry goods.

They are the perfect size and little hands can open them. I wondered how they would hold up getting crashed around in my 2nd grader son's lunch box, and I am amazed! They have held up and look almost new after using them 5 days a week for several months now.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great product and responsible company, December 17, 2009

We ordered two, with and without the divider. We use both daily for our daughter's lunch. I usually put 1/2-2/3 of a sandwich in the one with no divider and then add a bit of fruit too. In the divided lunchbot I'll put a vegetable in one half and crackers of fruit or desert or something in the other half. We stack them in her lunchbox and there is still room for a bottle of water.

I ordered both direct from[...]. We started losing paint of both lids in less than 2 months. I wrote lunchbots of the problem and they immediately replied that the paint should be much more durable but that a small batch with defective paint was known about. They immediately mailed me two new lids and an extra gift. There's not enough companies still listening to their customers and taking care of problems. Thank you Lunchbots!

Product Summary:
Good size to secure lunch and snacks.
Easy to open and close - yet secure.
Easy to clean.
No more plastic or disposable zip-locks.
Great company.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice but Too Small for Sandwiches, January 19, 2011

This is a wonderful and economical alternative to disposable plastic and plastic in general.
They are durable, keep lunches from getting smashed (thinking ziplocs), free of chemicals (plastics) and is dishwasher safe. For this reason, I give it 4 stars.

However, the main reason I had purchased this was for sandwiches, for which this is too small. The length is suitable but the width is simply too narrow for most of today's store bought bread.
In light of this, I have just ordered:
LunchBots Eco Stainless Steel Lunch Container and I see they make another, larger (but not as large as the former):
LunchBots Uno Stainless Steel Lunch Container. Both being a little larger than this one.

All-in-all a nice container but for those wishing to use this to pack a sandwich, my advice is to choose a larger size.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too small!!, November 19, 2010

I am clearly in the minority here. It was my fault for not reading the dimensions of the product before I purchased it. HOW are people fitting a sandwich into this thing??? What kind of bread are you buying because there no way I can fit a sandwich in here. To me, this looks more like a SNACK tin, not something that should hold my lunch. It might hold lunch for a small child, but I can't see an adult getting a decent-sized lunch in this container. I wish they would make one twice the size, and then maybe I can use it. Also --in case anyone is wondering, I am not a big eater. I only weigh 110 lbs and I think I eat normal-sized lunches.

I purchased this for my 5 year old son who just started Kindergarten. It's great. He can easily open it and it washes up great. I just bought another one for my 4 year old daughter who wants to pretend she is packing a lunch for school too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for lunches on the go., December 30, 2010

I love LuchBots! They make really good containers and their Uno Lunch Containers is no exception. I bought the Pico, Uno, and Eco for my lunch set. I usually on need one of them for the lunches I prepare, but I like having the different options. As a bonus the Pico and Uno fit nicely in the Eco for storage. I find these contains to be well constructed and nice fitting lids and no sharp edges. It would be nice if they were water tight, but it wasn't a necessity for me.

These containers are perfect. The tops are easy enough for my 5 year-old son to open without any problem at all. But the tops have never once fallen off on their own. The blue one fits a sandwich perfectly without having to cut the crusts off, or squish the sandwich in. The sandwich fits exactly and doesn't slide around or come apart. The containers are light. Easy to wash, no cracks for food to get stuck. No plastic. I use them for the whole family, every day for packed lunches. I love these lunch containers.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Blue Paint peels, March 29, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: LunchBots Uno Stainless Steel /Food Container,Blue (Kitchen)
I ordered 1 yellow LunchBot with a divider and two blue ones without a divider. My kids have been using them since early in the school year and they are great... except that the blue paint has been peeling off in bits all over the place. We find little pieces of blue paint in the lunch boxes and the dishwasher all the time. The yellow one has held up well. If I can just get all of the blue paint off the other two... They work fine.

4 months into everyday use and these boxes are holding up great. My oldest daughter carries her in the lunchbox with a stainless water bottle so the blue paint is scratch (obviously, not a fault of the product). Spacious enough for a sandwich, and some chips. They are very sturdy. Kids like them and I love the health and environmental benefits.
