3.0 out of 5 stars Mi6 - Lunchbox
Im gonna keep it short and get to the point. This cd is great but not as good as "alcoholiday". It includes some great tracks from "alcoholiday" such as "lezbian girlfriends" and "Jeff brown" and some new tracks. This cd doesn't live up to "alcoholiday".

5.0 out of 5 stars Kung Fu Release, November 8, 2001

Turn up your treble to get the full impact of the drum work. Coles really pushes the songs with style. Don't ignore the bass though. Bass should be the best instrument in a punk band and Riffle keeps that tradition alive in MI6. Vocals are "punkish", with a bit of a snotty tinge, but again that fits the music. I also have their self released and you can hear the influence of Kung Fu in the quality of recording. A few of the songs were re-recorded from the original self released CD. Re-recordings are good but some seem to have lost a little bit of their punch somewhere in the process. Best tracks are a couple of the new ones, tracks 2 and 3. High Life (2) is pure skate punk. Someone send it to T Hawk for his next video game. This is the best song on the cd, fantastic change ups and great use of backround vocals. It's ready for the radio as is. Reach (3) is the second part of a back to back double whammy. Key to this one is tempo. Great changeup, great pulse in the chorus with a more melodic refrain. The whole CD is worth the effort, but those two really stand out. All in all, good ha. Buy it, and keep your board handy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Mi6 RoCkS!, August 30, 2004
This review is from: Lunchbox (Audio CD)
Mi6 stands in the middle of the Emo genre. The songs from the album "Lunchbox" are funny and yet so true. The lyrics of the title track paint a picture of a boy growing up in the 80's, struggling to be "cool". The fourth cut on the album "Lesbian Girlfriends" talks about how it seems all of his girlfriends end up leaving him for other girls. The Album mixes humor and low self-esteem, so well through out the whole album, bringing a smile to your face with songs like "Lesbian Girlfriends", "Mojo" a song of past girlfriends and the only one for him, "Splash Back" a hilarious song about hot wings from the night before coming back to haunt our "Hero" on a hot date, and the amusing and highly depressing "How to be an Idiot", about suicide. Only the Pop/Punk band, Blink 182, rivals Mi6's humor. Mi6 will soon become a major player in the Punk scene mark my words

5.0 out of 5 stars Did you lose your lunchbox?, July 14, 2003
This review is from: Lunchbox (Audio CD)
Inside the lunchbox, there is a full package of good punk music. Every song is on the CD is too good. I never heard of Mi6 until now. This band is really really good. IF you like NFG, Blink 182 they sound the same but only better. I'm a die hard fan of NFG. Don't compare this band to any of the bands today cuz its different and better. Little teeny boppers will not destroy this band like they did to blink 182.
