5.0 out of 5 stars It's all there, May 12, 2010
This review is from: Lunchtime Lomography (Paperback)
Pigeons, puppies and people. Big skyscrapers and little squirrels. Trucks and trains and bicycles. High speed and still life. This book of photos has it all- just like New York!

5.0 out of 5 stars the flaneur - commuter, May 10, 2010
This review is from: Lunchtime Lomography (Paperback)
I love this book. It really is my life, day in, day out, except for the Long Island Railroad. It's life I ignore. I'm always running home, running to work, grabbing lunch, running off, yadda yadda...

Lunchtime Lomography does capture NYC streets, but also a philosophy of living. It's not some heavy, time-consuming, unattainable meditative practice that takes guidance and hours of contemplation. It's incremental, has no goal or judgment. Attainable.

david23 is a flaneur with a timetable. Can you really "wander" during a lunchbreak, or as you're running to make your train? Yes, a flaneur in a rush is an oxymoron, but he's embracing the contradiction. Maybe we can learn something from him.

5.0 out of 5 stars Captures My EveryDay!, October 6, 2010
This review is from: Lunchtime Lomography (Paperback)
This is the book I wish I'd made -- but I'm too busy running for the train everyday. Too often, we miss the little daily scenes and event that make up our lives. The things around us that are more important than we realize becasue they flavor our moments. David23 captures it all, so you can look and really reflect on the wonderful sites and intimations that go on around you. It's like a valentine to the daily commuter in NYC. Thanks!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great example of Lomography and cool photos of NYC, April 5, 2010

I just received this book and am so happy with it. It has a little bit of info on Lomography but is mainly photos (color and b/w) of street shots, architecture and people in NYC. The photos are so creative and inspirational and a must see for any photographer who loves Lomography. Aside from that it is an interesting portrayal of a photographers life living and commuting to and from New York City. It gives you a real big picture of what that is like. I recommend this book highly.

True Lomography - Street Photography

I'm bias as I am the author.
So rather than a review I'll give you a little more information.

LunchTime Lomography are photographs I took with different Lomo cameras in and around NYC.

The book is broken up into 3 sections.
1. My morning commute into the NYC from Long Island.
2. Lunch time photowalks in and around Columbus Circle NYC.
3. My commute home from NYC to Long Island.

The book is designed to be inspirational for artists in all different media.
I hope you will give it a chance and enjoy it when you receive it.
