Important Information

Ingredients
Wheat Flour, Malted Barley Flour, Whey Powder, Sugar, Salt, Baking Powder.

Directions
Pancake recipe (serves 4): 1 cup Swedish Pancake Mix, 1-1/2 cups water (or milk, if desired), 1 egg. Mix ingredients until smooth. Batter can be prepared by stirring thoroughly, or by mixing in a shaker or quart jar. Batter should be very thin. Pre-heat griddle, skillet or Swedish Platt pan to 400 degrees. (Note: Because of the thinness of these pancakes heat must be 400 degrees or more), grease lightly or blend 1 tbsp of batter from tip of spoon for each pancake. Since batter is very thin, it does not bubble as heavier batter does. Brown lightly on both sides and serve on warm plate. Waffle recipe (serves 4): 1 cup Swedish Pancake Mix, 1 cup milk, 1 egg, 1 tbsp melted butter. Mix ingredients until smooth. Use conventional baking method (Note: Because of the thinness of this batter heat must be 400 degrees or more), brushing waffle iron lightly with butter between each baking process. Swedish Pancake Mix is finely-textured, thus batter will be thinner than regular waffle batter. Result will be tender, rich-tasting waffles.

Easy to make and delicious.

I was happy to discover that I could order this wonderful pancake mix on line as none of our grocery stores here in Erie, Colorado carry it.

This Swedish Pancake Mix is just okay.

1.)The recommended cooking temp is 400 degrees. My first batch burned and I
adjusted to a lower temp. (As other reviewers have noted they also did.)

2.) The recipe says these pancakes do not bubble. Yes they do.
No matter what temp. they are cooked they DO bubble.

3.) This is a 12 ounce package. The pancake and waffle recipes on the box call for
a cup (8 oz.) of mix. And so the customer is left with 4 oz. in the box.
Why can't this be packaged as a 16-oz. product so that the basic recipes can be made
two times?

If you like pancakes, you'll love Lund's. I especially like the fact that hey are thin. I hate thick, doughy pancakes.

Swedish pancakes are a family favorite in my home. They are similar to a thin crepe and sweeter than regular pancakes.I have to buy it by the case as they don't last too long!

... that without Swedish pancakes, life is scarcely worth living? When I fix breakfast, I make pancakes from scratch, but I always make sure to have a box or two of Lund's Mix in the pantry in case my wife or a visitor has the urge to cook. Lund's Mix needs a half-teaspoon or more of cardamon, and of course these pancakes must be served with lingon. I use a special Swedish "flat-pan" to make perfectly round pancakes, but that's just a picky extravagance; an ordinary iron griddle will do fine. I've found that the mix doesn't fry well at altitudes above 8000 feet; I don't know why. Otherwise the results are plenty good, and this is a bargain price for twelve boxes. Var sĺ god och äta nog!

When my parents were in Norway, the family up there introduced her to this style of pancake, and she then made some for us a few years ago. But not too many stores carry this anymore, so we just order a 12 pack now. It lasts for several months and I do not have to around town wasting time and money looking for the mix.

I was thrilled to find this available on Amazon and at the price I wanted to pay. All of my stores that carried this seemed to be discontinuing it so I thought this way I won't run out. These come out really well. I use half milk, half water or a little more milk than water. I usually use fat free milk. I add a drop of vanilla too. Make them nice and thin and well done. The first one of the batch generally doesn't come out too well but once you get going and the pan is hot and well buttered it goes well. They're delicious. I've tried making these from scratch but much as I hate to admit it, these are better. I like to make them large - the size of the inside of a saute pan I have so I make them one at a time. I was happy too with the expiration date of 2-28-15.
