5.0 out of 5 stars THESE GUYS BELONG ON PSYCHOPATHIC!!!
Ok, I recently went to the Bizaar Bizzare Tour in Pocatello, ID. I had never heard of Marz until then. They hit the stage and blew me away. I bought this cd the minute I got home. It takes metal, mixes it with rap and hip hop, and just flip the whole thing up. They are a band, not just one rapper. As a band they sound very complete. BUY THIS RECORD!! Juggalos 4 ever.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great
This album is neither good nor bad. the first six songs are pretty good but after that the album slowly falls apart. "In the mud" and "Third Eye" are by far the best songs on the album. "Slide" and "Steal my Shine" shed some light on this Cd, but the rest of it [is just bad]. I first bought this album after the Bizzar/Bizaar tour in 2001. Marz sounds much better live. The...

"Slide" and "Steal my Shine" shed some light on this Cd, but the rest of it [is just bad]. I first bought this album after the Bizzar/Bizaar tour in 2001. Marz sounds much better live. The lyrics are good for the most part, but what makes this CD fall short is the beats. With the exception of the songs mentioned above, this cd has some horrible beats. Bottom line:If your looking for a good rap/metal band try out Bionic Jive or Hed P.E.. These groups are far much better than Marz.

5.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable, January 7, 2001

After first seeing Marz open up for Papa Roach right here in Chicago, I finally found the true answer to this rap/rock era. They don't rap too fast like Bionic Jive yet the rap, unlike Papa Roach themselves or Limp Bizkit. The CD is fantastic, and its one of those albums that you can just put on and listen through and not find a bad song. And, since every single one of its songs is about sex ("In the Mud"=anal), its always funny. I would recommend anyone who likes what they can sample here should buy the cd immediately. Later-

5.0 out of 5 stars Lung Fu Mo She BABY!!, December 29, 2001
This review is from: Lung Fu Mo She (Audio CD)
Alright, this album is just completely and thoroughly awesome. The whole way through the album will keep you interested. Marz has true talent and showcases this on "LUNG FU MO SHE". I mean he can keep a constant flow of lyrics going through each song beginning to end. And having had the Ministry background the added guitar riffs are just make the album and every song totally complete. I just love when I can find an album I can pop in my cd player and can listen to it all the way through and don't have to change to another cd. This is that album! But honestly I wouldn't know exactly how to describe MarZ. I guess it has a little ICP and (hed)pe taste to it in my opinion, with even industrial subtitles. But who cares, all in all "Lung Fu Mo She" is worth the buy, so BUY IT!!!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars dissapointed and then some, October 10, 2001

i dig icp ill be the first to tell you they can barely rap but i find them entertaining i like twiztid and unlike icp i think they got maad lyrics i love blaze i miss old gangsta rap and he brings exactly that flavor with a twist of the psychopathic supernatural

so it's fair to say im down for the hatchet
so i see on icp's site that dark lotus(psychopathic's supergroup) has added marz to its lineup due to their track record with my tastes i hit up amazon.com and ordered lung fu mo she

im glad they're no longer with dark lotus
weak lyrics decent music
its like limp bizkit but not as kiddy
just as sorry tho

industrial rap: decent concept
marz: poor execution
the music itself is tolerable but repetetive
and sorry to say marz makes icp look like hieroglyphics lyrically

i was gonna give the album that little blank dash but i found 2 high points

"in the mud" the one good song on here
and the liner notes very interesting views and pretty thorough breakdown of where he's coming from maybe the intrigue and expectations raised by this glance at the world through the artist's eyes is what made this bad album so dissapointing but had this been a good album this would have prepared me for such an experience too often do artists assume the music speaks for itself when they are waaaaaay too abstract not that lung fu mo she contains anything abstract but if more artists opened up like this it'd further enhance the listener experience
and if more of marz' songs could back up these liner notes
... this album wouldnt suck

stick to the psychopathic roster we got fer now kiddos dont waste time or money on this

5.0 out of 5 stars Industrial rap at it's best!, July 19, 2005
This review is from: Lung Fu Mo She (Audio CD)
I'm not some young be-bopper. Nor, am I a huge ICP fan. This promo was sent to me by a friend in the industry who knew I was a old Ministry fan from way back. Truth be told, it sat on my shelves for way to long before I listened to it.
The fact is this album was way before it's time. Had it come out in 2001 they would have been headlining the Family Values or Warp tours for the last few years and not been swept under the rug. Much like Infectious Grooves, it will go down in history as one of the true talents that very few of us were lucky to hear of.
There are not a lot of albums you can listen to front to back, but there is not a bad song on "Lung Fu Mo She." It's a shame we will never hear more from this landmark group.
Buy it without regret.

This is one of the best new groups at there. The only way I heard of them is threw ICP so being a juggalo I ordered the Marz Cd and it was worth every penny. I listen to this Cd ALL the time. Every song from first to last is great. Rock music with tight lyrics. Get this cd if your a fan of music.

If you are into the whole "acid rap" this cd is a must. With off the wall lyrics and and songs that will make you move this cd is one of the best I have bought in a long time. Marz definitely has a future in my book, so buy this cd or listen to it here and I promise you will not regret it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Two words...who-ah!, May 5, 2001
This review is from: Lung Fu Mo She (Audio CD)
I first heard Marz on ICP's tour...he ripped up the stage. I bought his CD not too long after, and it's really good stuff. It's like industrial/acid/rap. The whole CD has a good feel to it. Can't wait to hear some more of his Dark Lotus ..., either!

5.0 out of 5 stars INDUSTRIAL HIPHOP ASSAULT!!!, April 16, 2002
This review is from: Lung Fu Mo She (Audio CD)
At first glance, some may view Marz's "Lung Fu Mo She" as a late arrival to the already crowded rapcore genre, but it is certainly more than that.

There is a reason why KoRn frontman Jonathan Davis signed this Chicago, Illinois based hip-hopper to Elementree Records(Davis's own label), and one listen of this album will tell you why.

Most "juggalos" probably 1st heard of Marz when he appeared on the "Dark Lotus" collaboration, along with Psychopathic Records kingpins ICP, Twiztid, and Blaze Ya Dead Homie. Now, Marz is no longer associated with Psychopathic or ICP, and that is a good thing. Had he stayed w/ the Psychopathic crew, he would have totally changed(for the worst). Just look at Twiztid. And I know I don't wanna hear Marz rap about "Chicken Hunting", "Faygo", or "Juggalos".

Marz is more than your typical rapcore sludge. He combines elements of industrial rock with raw underground hip-hop to bring a fresh new concept into the music scene. The base of the album is hip-hop, but there are enough rockin' beats on this album to please any fan of industrial rock, or rock in general(like myself) as well.

The songs are great on this album. Right from the opening track "Steal My Shine", you know you're gonna have a listening experience. The topics range from serious("Hooray For The Bad Guy") to comical("In The Mud") issues. However, never on this album does he seem overly serious, or as ridiculous as ICP.

All in all, Marz has turned up a great debut album in "Lung Fu Mo She" that all of the "gorillaz" will be bumping for quite a while. And with promises of a "heavier" album next time(he will have his band w/ him in the studio)that will be produced by KoRn frontman Jonathan Davis, the future looks bright for Marz.

Look for Marz on tour with KoRn this summer, and for more about Marz, visit his official website.
