Great purchase and I go to on sale.

I know I should probably not keep calling this an album but anyone who purchases this and is a fan will soon think of it as another entire album.
Jeff
Album is nice but really just parts of previous albums.

If you love "Lungs" then you will love the B-Sides! This album contains new songs along with some re-mixes. The first song on the album "Swimming" jumps right out and grabs your attention. The songs that follow are a treat for those of us who have had "Lungs" repeatedly on our play lists for the last year. New beats and a different vibe are abundant on this album, sure to please all the folks who are anxiously awaiting a new album from the amazing Florence Welch!

Since Lungs came out, i have been entranced with Florence Welch's voice and melodies, and I think I listened to the album for at least a month straight, before needing to change music . As soon as I saw this new album of b-sides, had to snatch it up, and it does not disappoint! I'm not usually a fan of remixes of any sort, since they destroy the original genious of the song, but her voice makes up it. Also, this album includes the song from the Twilight soundtrack "heavy in your arms", that i was debating on buying the soundtrack just for that song, but now I don't have to! Favorites so far are:
Heavy in your arms
Bird song
Hardest of hearts

This is an OK album for fans who want more of Florence and the Machine, but it isn't nearly as good as the other albums. The lyrics on new songs are not as inspired as on other releases, and I can live without the rap piece.

Florence and the machine is amazing. Her lyrics and melodys are written so metaphorically it shows her talent through her words.

Florence + The Machine have been on my "to buy" list for some time now, but I have always been a little reluctant to take the plunge. However, today I did, and I'm thoroughly impressed. I'm not sure what I expected, but they are better than I expected. I believe I read a review that compared them to Paramour, that's not even close. F+M have far more musicality. I sense aspects of Lady Gaga, even though I am not a fan of hers, but it's very subtle, probably more in the theatrics than anything. However, I do hear shades of Annie Lennox and certainly aspects of Chrissie Hynde and the Pretenders, not only in the vocals, but in the music as well. The nod to Robert Palmer's Addicted to Love is priceless. Needless to say I'm pleasantly surprised and have been wearing out the grooves in the MP3 album since I downloaded it. I might also add that this is the first download I have gotten from Amazon that actually came with the digital booklet. So what's up with that Amazon? I see these digital booklets offered with a multitude of digital downloads and this is the only one that it actually came with the download. I think you've been holding out on us. Tremendous thumbs up to F+M for making this happen. The digital booklet is a great extra, vivid color photographs of Florence and the band as well as lyric annotations to the images and liner notes. Thanks for thinking of your fans, because you have a new one in me and I'm looking forward to the next release.

Wow, I loved this album. It's been maybe 18 months since I last bought an album and found that I'd been listening to it for two hours and had only made it halfway through because I kept replaying tracks. Of course this has to be in the right niche of music for you, but if you like vocal driven higer concept indie (maybe even pop) music you'll love this. Take a look at what Amazon says what others who bought this bought and if you like some of those works you're going to love this.
