4.0 out of 5 stars me gusta este disco compacto
Loona who has also worked under the pseudonym Carisma and whose real name is Marie-Jose something something... is the voice behind all DJ Sammy music with the exception of Heaven. This CD is far from her trance/club music and has a much wider audience, unfortenatly none of Loona's work as Loona and not Carisma were eever released in the US, but for such an exellent CD...

3.0 out of 5 stars Worth it just for the title track
Most of this CD is techno-trash, and frankly, you have to be a little bummed when you read liner notes that say (paraphrasing) "we were so excited to be doing this project that we went out and took singing lessons".

Still... I had heard the title track 10 years ago while travelling in Europe and was thrilled to finally track it down. It's a haunting song,...

It's a haunting song, apparently an old Spanish folk tune, about how the moon finagles a baby from a gypsy woman in love. It's beautifully arranged, full orchestra, and it sounds like those singing lessons paid off.

Most of the songs are in Spanish, which would be no issue if I were a lover of poppy-synth music, but being unable to understand the lyrics AND not liking the instrumentation overall, the album was a disappointment. I've listened more than a few times, and it just isn't growing on me. But I finally own that one song I had to have, and I'm listening to it a lot.
