Great Selection From The Lunt-Fontanne 1987 Broadway Shows,

I must COMPLETELY DISAGREE with the other review posted here. I was at one of these shows, and this CD is a great collection. A perfect example of the type of songs and atmosphere at these shows. A personal highlight for me was meetings Bill Graham, who was walking around in the theatre greeting fans and keeping the 'smokers' from setting the house on fire. These CD's are well recorded and feature both the acoustic and electric Garcia Bands which were on display at these shows. Highly recommended - especially at the current 'used' price of about $14.00 - a steal!!

While this isnt horrible, 3 stars is generous. Sound quality isnt great, and the playing is far inferior to other Jerry Band releases...Pure Jerry 1977, Pure Jerry 1974, JGB 1991, Legion of Mary, NEW JGB release (vol. 2), Merl Saunders/Jerry Garcia releases, Jerry @ Kean College...on and on. I am disappointed I bought this at ANY price before other FINER recordings...a mistake! Go TO [...] and see a more completet cd catalogue at FAIR prices-BRAND NEW!
