I wanted to stop using a prong collar for my dog, so I switched to this one per a trainer. My dog can still pull me pretty hard with this and it doesn't stay where it should on her neck, but at least I'm not hurting her as badly (at least, I don't think I am...the strain on her neck may be just as harmful as with a prong collar.) Working on training her not to pull with this collar is a bit of a challenge.I do like Lupine products in general though because they are very durable.

The sizes were all over the place for some collars, but this one at 15-22" was perfect for a 50 lb golden. the martingale is unique in that you can wrap the leash around the body of the dog for further control.
