From the Back Cover
Mary Whaley has her hands full running a successful catering company and overseeing her supper club. She's got everything she ever wanted--or so she thought. When she meets ridiculously hot and very dirty rock star Damien Hurley at her friend's engagement party, the attraction she feels is overpowering--and she isn't about to deny herself.
Damien is used to a hard and fast life. He and two of his brothers started a band when they were all in high school--then they hit the big time and stayed there. He's also a legendary madman on the stage and in the bedroom. But when he meets Mary, something clicks, and the bad boy starts thinking he may have finally found something good.
What begins as a series of fleeting trysts soon get much more complicated. Damien can't figure out why Mary doesn't want more from him. And before long it's Damien who wants more of Mary. But it turns out Mary is no stranger to the celebrity news and he's got a very big job ahead of him--proving that he's worth more than a one-night stand...

Contemporary Romance - April 2nd, 2013
Lush is the third in the Delicious series by Lauren Dane. It also loosely features characters from her Brown siblings' series who are rock stars.
Mary Whaley has a successful catering company. She is loving her life and everything is going well. While overseeing her friend Gillian's wedding she meets the super hot friend of the groom. Damien Hurley is a famous drummer and a known love'em and leave'em playboy and party animal. But no one has attracted him more than Mary. Soon then are all over each other. And while Mary has always been the goody two shoes type she doesn't want anything deeper than a fling. The surprise is that Damien wants more! Convincing Mary of his true intentions is a hard sell especially due to his checkered past. It also doesn't help that groupies are always all over him. Will Mary take the chance on Damien?
This is one fun read. I particularly liked the references to food which made me pretty hungry. I also enjoyed the feeling of family and camaraderie between Mary's friends and the Brown family. The romance between Damien and Mary is extremely hot, readers will find their scenes will not be disappointed and may find themselves a bit hot under the collar! Mary has a lot of spunk and self confidence and I liked how she gives Damien a run for his money! One of the best things is that their relationship is slow and realistic. I also enjoyed that this book doesn't throw in obligatory tragedy or a stalker but focuses on the building relationship between the main characters. Although I did love all the friends and family in the story it could be slightly confusing with all the extra characters if readers are not familiar with her other books.Read more ›
Mary and Damien meet again at Adrian and Gillian's wedding, and what starts out as one night of hot sex turns into what both of them have always wanted. Mary is not so sure she wants to live with all that comes with dating a rock star. Mary has seen first hand the pressure and the bad side of fame by watching her friend Gillian deal with it because of her husband rock star Adrian Brown.
I loved that Damien had to fight for Mary and she did not just fall into his lap. Lauren Dane writes such strong and awesome female characters like Mary. Mary deserved to be fought for. Mary had issues, but Damien knew she was worth it and he had to show her that he was worth it. Along with the strong women, Mrs.Dane writes sexy, hot, sweet men that you immediately fall in love with. I always find myself thinking damn, I wish I had myself a Damien or Adrian or Brody. Just to name a few of the wonderful men in her wonderful stories.
In Lush we get to meet Damien's brothers and band members. Of course I fell in love with them and I am glad to hear that Mrs.Dane is looking to write a series with Sweet Hollow Ranch boys. Yes, Please!! There is just something wonderful in Mrs.Dane's stories that I fall in love with every time I read one.
Lush is a hot, sexy read, but also a great story about friends and family, and how sometimes you have to over come your fears to be with the one your meant to be with. I am looking forward to Raven's story, Drawn Together.

"I LOVE THIS SERIES. Lauren Dane can really do no wrong when it comes to the world of the Brown siblings and beyond." ~Under the Covers
Can I just say first and foremost, I LOVE THIS SERIES. Lauren Dane can really do no wrong when it comes to the world of the Brown siblings and beyond. LUSH is the perfect example of why I love it so much. It's got a perfect blend of sensuality, mixed in a dose of hot rocker and tattooed hero and with a dash of strong and independent heroine.
Ms. Dane can write some of the most real characters. You just want to get in their heads and their lives. Mary and Damien were just that for me. I wanted to be her and be with him. Mary is successful, she doesn't need a man to make her happy or pay her bills. She's got a great group of friends and a full life. Damien just adds to it, he doesn't take over.
And then Damien, well, who doesn't love a reformed bad boy. He's got a ladies man reputation but all that changes when he meets Mary. He knows she's a good girl, a girl that you have a relationship with. Their attraction was sizzling from the very beginning. I especially loved the fact that it is the bad boy hero that tiptoes around Mary to get a relationship and something serious out of her. Totally in love over here.
Their problems were real and they came to a good solution. No quick fixes, and no superfluous problems just to keep them apart.
The few glimpses of the Browns that we do get are never enough to appease me, but I'll take what I can get. We also hear from Raven and Jonah, who will be getting their book soon and, can I just say, I am so excited to finally read her story!Read more ›
