Nostalgia,
By
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Lusis (Audio CD)
I suppose that I'm getting nostalgic. I'm only 39 but I keep opening my reviews with I remember. So I'll do it again. I remember being at Cornerstone. It was either 90 or 91. (What's funnier? What you remember or what you don't?) I was sitting in Ramald Domkus's (of Scaterd Few) tent. And there was a couple of young Philipino kid's playing him their 8 track demo tape. It was Jerome and Gyro playing Him the sketches of the songs that would end up on this record. We were all blown away. This is a cassette 8 track? How'd you get the samples. This was a world before Logic and Pro-tools. Even Hip-hop was still young.
Any Way This album has followed me around the world, albiet in cassette form. And even if it is a album that gets played once or twice a year (I am a bit older now, you can do the math if you want to know how old I was in 90,) it was time to find it on C.D. Thank God for the internet and Amazon.com.

Ground Breaking Christian Industrial Album!,

This was a ground breaking album for Jyro and Jerome. The song "Enfleshed" reamains a defining song in the genre.

Awesome!,

Incredible album, still one of my favorite's! As a young Christian, I longed for music with energy that also glorified God and I found it. I got a chance to see them play in Tampa, FL at a small venue where the kids were packed in, no ac, everyone crowd surfing, etc. and at the end the guys invited everyone to sit down and we worshiped the Lord together, it was quite an experience, we hung with them at church the next day and I got to interview them for my local Christian newspaper it's something that will stay with me forever

Mortal was one of my favorite groups as a young Christan. To have music that sounded like what I listened to before I was saved that had a message that filled my mind with good things was awesome. Their style at the time was so different than anything my friends and I were listening to. Ive been looking for Mortal in CD stores for years and even on iTunes. Thank you Amazon!!!!!!

I saw these guys live at Cornerstone, hi Ally Grayson! I really went there to see Donderfliegen/Deitiphobia, who actually got me into making industrial music.
This is a great CD with a great message and can be enjoyed by fans of industrial regardless of their beliefs. In Christian circles, these guys along with a few others were ahead of their time and it's great to see this available as an mp3 release. Now it's time to get "Fathom" and look for "Jyradelix" |
