over a decade old, and still edgy,
By A Customer
This review is from: Lust (Audio CD)
I hate the feeling that what was once gloriously outlaw to me, in my wilder stomping days, is now rather old hat to the kids. Still, the LoA (and especially this CD) manage to remain powerfully risque' to me. The dance beats are insidious and compelling. The sense of humor surrounding the sexuality keeps it HUGE - I have yet to find a dance floor that doesn't erupt into Caligula whenever "I Sit on Acid" comes on. Be careful who you play it for, as it's VERY explicit - but not offensively so. It's surprisingly fair, gender-wise (which is generally my problem with explicit music - it's for the boys. This speaks to anyone with genitals, and then some). It's good, dirty fun, and remains my favorite of all I've heard from them so far.

If you own genitals, own this album,

This album has a very simple message..(...) Exactly what we want to listen to when we're feeling sleazy and don't want to be bothered with lyrics that require a trace of deep thought. This album is just the audio equivelent to good adult fun. It's nothing more than fun, sleazy dance music with tongue-in-cheek lyrics and no trace of intellectual stimulation. Isn't that what we want most of the time whether we admit it or not? It's not music for concentration on work or philosophy or anything else where I have to resort to using my brain. No, this is something you listen to when you're in a car full of girls where you can exchange winks and/or gestures. This is an album for our 'mammalian' side. By 'mammalian' I don't mean Disney's lion king, I mean nature show's 'lions getting it on in the field'. Hey, we may be humans, but we need to loosten up a bit when it comes to our sexuality. Rigermortis should not be the only way to talk about getting stiff without blushing.

You want sex, they've got SEX,
This review is from: Lust (Audio CD)
Clear and by far the best album by LOA. There is more energy in this one CD than most others out there. This CD gets bonus points for its sheer naughtiness. If you have some stodgy friends who need to loosen up, start playing this and see how long they take to notice. Musically, this is the most energetic of all of their albums featuring the best vocal voice of any of the singers they have had. Tracks like Take Control and Pump my Body to the Top boast the most musical aspects of the album. Meanwhile, I Sit on Acid and The Most Wonderful Girl just ooze with forbidden sexuality with a great beat. Then of course there is the classic I Must Increase my Bust which is more catchy than any pop song but with an edge few bands can deliver. Definitely buy this album and then move on to Voodoo-U if you want, but start with this excellent CD.

Some of the greatest f__k music ever,

This album has served as a soundtrack for some of the HOTTEST sex I have EVER had. If you're looking for a superb mood setter for your next group sex orgy this is a must-play. Though it came out many years ago, it still pumps out lusty, sexy, nasty groovy-ness without fail. Pick this up and let it work its power on you and yours

I Love This CD!,

Ok, so I was in High School when this came out... and I LOVED it. I lost the tape somewhere along the way and always wondered in the back of my mind "What the heck is the name of that group that sings about sex"? Thank goodness for the browse styles option here on Amazon because it helped me find this album again.
This is a must have! Not one song on here is boring or corny. Next to Rob Zombie, this stuff will most certainly spice up your day. :)

Lust... A Very Sexual CD,
This review is from: Lust (Audio CD)
Well though the sexual noises seem very noticeably fake indeed this CD is pretty good... I think it's mainly made for people who are busy getting busy most of the time and the CD would work to play while doing so... since it sings about sex most of the time.... song 10 is my personal favorite....

Lords of Acid's seminal work,
By
This review is from: Lust (Audio CD)
Lust is representative of the Lords of Acids best Club/Dance music offerings. The lyrics are explicit and the beats, while repetitive, are catchy and you just can't help dancing to them. The CD includes club hits "I Must Increase My Bust" and "Rough Sex". The song "Most Wonderful Girl" is also featured in Sliver (the movie with Sharon Stone and Billy Baldwin). If you buy one Lords of Acid CD (and that is likely), let it be this one because the subsequent offerings have all been subpar.

LOA THE BEGINING,
By "tw52" (Castle Rock, Washington USA) - See all my reviews

I love the lords of acid, but this is not my favorite lord cd. If you like old style techno dance this is the cd for you. great songs include "I sit on acid" and "lets get high". I myself like the second cd Voodo You. The tracks are harder and more raw. If you are into just great dance I recommend Our Little Secret. I love this Band and every peice of music they have is ground breraking. I recommend that you don't buy the newer cds such as Expand your Head. Heaven is an Orgasm isn't as good as their older cd's such as this one.

Raw and Electrifying,
By Muzeek (Pittsburgh, PA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Lust (Audio CD)
As any true Lords of Acid fan knows, this is the stepping stone for this vicious, no-holds-barred band. They put out nothing but raw energy in every track and you have to admire it for that very reason. "I Sit on Acid" remains one of the all time best jump-around, strobe-lit songs to ever play in any club. Their trashy lyrics and gothic soundscapes in sync with the house-thumpin beats all blend together with devilishly fun ferocity. I could practically feel the little devil dancing on my right shoulder as I listened to this disc.

Hard-hitting Technosexual Rhythms,
This review is from: Lust (Audio CD)
This is one of the best CD's The Lords have released to-date, in my opinion. What's even better than this CD is the re-release of this album that has the bonus tracks on it, including I Sit On Acid '95 and Paris, France.
