After reading book 1 of Lust, Money & Murder, I was pretty sure book 2 and 3 would be good. Understatement of the year. Who needs Six Flags when you have Mike Wells!! I could probably write pages of how brilliant I think Wells is, but then he may think I'm a crazed fan so I'll keep it short.

Wells writing is quick and to the point. There's no babbling brooke descriptions. It's just how I like it: action, tension, suspense, your eyes can't move fast enough across the page reading.

His maine character, Elaine is smart and cunning. One tough cookie. She's somebody that you can't help but become invested in from the moment she's introduced. Even after being betrayed time and again, she never stops fighting. My kind of girl, my kind of main character. Secret Service Training, counterfeit money, murder, mobs, a rich hot Italian, a bit of romance. This book has it all.

I wish I could give this book ten stars! One of the better books I've read in a long time. Elaine Brogan kicked some major butt and i can't wait to see what she does next. I'm hoping not to have to wait too long for books 4, 5, and 6!

If you're looking for a fast-paced page turner, you just found it!!

Lust,Money and Murder. I got the first book free and I wondered how can he do this? So I took my kindle, snuggled into bed and read. At 11:30PM I reached the end of Book 1--on a cliff hanger. So I HAD TOO get up, fire up my computer and down load Books 1,2 and 3. But the book was so good I couldn't wait until morning. So don't do what I did--buy the 3 books at one time so you don't have to interrupt your reading experience with that feeling of disbelief! This CAN'T end here! I thoroughly enjoyed Lust, Money and Murder. Mikes writing is clean, concise with out an ounce of filler. I recommend it to all who enjoy mystery, murder and lust for money, sex, power and revenge!

PS--I'm reading another of his "free books" now, but to avoid the shock I bought book2 in advance!

Nick is upset with Elaine for taking someone else's word over his. Deep down inside, Nick believes Elaine is running away from him due to her fear of getting close to people and getting hurt by them. His belief may or may not be true. This second book is all about finding the truth; the truth regarding Gene Lassiter, the Russians and who the true culprits are.

I was dazzled by Elaine's travels. Mike brought these places to life.

I was also amazed by the people she met who are involved in this illustrious plot.
With Elaine's expertise, will she be swayed to the other side of the law? She is tested by the Charming, Mr. Cattoretti. He lavishes her with beautiful clothes, fine food, culture and an offer she may or may not be able to resist. I have to admit, it would be thrilling to have the attentions of a rich, handsome man, such as Mr. Cattoretti, lavish me with compliments and things for which I cannot afford.

The answers are revealed in this book. You may or may not be shocked by her decision.

I cannot wait to find out if Elaine and Nick fall in love.

I was lucky enough to get Book 1 of "Lust, Money & Murder..." for free because I followed author Mike Wells on Twitter. I am an author myself, and promised to read his book. I wasn't sure I'd like it at the very beginning, but kept reading. I'm SO GLAD I did!!! This series "grabs" you! You HAVE to KEEP READING because it's compelling. Mike Wells must have done an amazing amount of research for this series about counterfeiting, what's required for detection, what's built into bills for detection, etc.
Main characters change in this series. In Books 1,2 & 3, Elaine Brogan is a federal agent who has a natural knack for being able to detect discrepancies in real and counterfeit bills. The story winds around her rise from a poor child to the status of the "best detector of counterfeit bills in the world." It continues in her betrayal by a colleague she trusts, to the Russians, and ultimately to Giorgio Cattoretti, a master counterfeiter, a producer of fashion knockoffs, a thief and a murderer. He seduces Elaine with the "good life" Money, jewels, fine clothes, trips to exotic places. It is her "mission" to discover how he produces such passable counterfeit bills, but she is pulled into the fine life thinking that Cattoretti is a charming gentleman since he treats her so well...We discover differently as his plans for Elaine are made known to us, and then, we are on tenterhooks wondering whether Elaine will survive!
Mike Wells plays these books very nicely. He leaves us wondering at the end of each book, needing to continue onto the next installment of the series to find out what will happen next. Catoretti bothers me.

International Intrigue, Excitement, Adventure, insight into money printing and just enough romance so that it's guy-friendly, too! (IOW, it's not a bedside romance novel. Take note you "manly men"!) It's a take-it-with-you-in-the car, to the office or the beach or wherever you think you may be going without it!

I read part one of Lust, Money and Murder, LOVED IT and looked forward to reading books 2 and 3.

Little did I know how much more escalated the drama, excitement, adventure and exotic places would be and how many plot twists awaited me.

From start to finish, this trilogy keeps you reading more and more. You can't stop, unless you have tremendous willpower! Then you'd probably come back to it about five minutes later! :) These books are full of surprises, twists, turns and very well-developed characters. You feel as if you're in one of the character's shoes and riding out this terrific adventure yourself. You root for certain characters from start to finish. I'm not mentioning whom you'll root for. You have to read these books to find out for yourself!

FIVE STAR (A+) series. Terrific vicarious experiences. Don't try them at home! lol.
