5.0 out of 5 stars Lust and Honor July 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
"Lust and Honor" by Harriet Schultz is a good beginning of a later fully developed novel titled "Legacy of the Highlands." In "Lust and Honor" Schultz describes the character of the leading figure in the book, Diago extremely well and he becomes fully drawn in "Legacy of the Highlands. "Lust and Honor" sets a foundation of what is to come and is a page turner. If you like the stlye of writing Schultz's following book Legacy of the Highlands is excellent too. I like her style of writing and recommend the book "Lust and Honor,' for a quick escape and an introduction to Schultz as a writer. Pat Davidson Reef

I instantly fell in love with the characters. This short story ends with a cliff hanger that'll make most readers want to learn more about the couple and their good friend. I recommend this story and I look forward to reading what happens next!

5.0 out of 5 stars Please keep writing! July 17, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition
If you're just discovering Harriet Schultz you are in for a treat. And how lucky you are to have this prequel and then her first book, Legacy of the Highlands, awaiting.
I was delighted when I found and read Lust and Honor. I had already read Legacy of the Highlands and I didn't want the characters to leave. And, I've just read that there is a sequel to Legacy of the Highlands. Can't wait.....but I suppose I'll have to.

Could have used a little more murder and a little less action. It wasn't bad though. But still a little more murder.

Lust and Honor does not draw me in or make me interested in reading the whole story. Good thing it is free.

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay
This book was good but I didn't like how it ended so short. I even read in 5 minutes and that's how short it is

1.0 out of 5 stars Not happy
Where is the rest of it. This was supposed to be a book not an excerpt of one. Not happy.

1.0 out of 5 stars This should have been free
I seriously object to the fact that I had to pay for these few pages, especially since I bought both of the books that follow it. Read more

2.0 out of 5 stars I was not happy
I was very unhappy with this book. There was nothing in the description that led me to believe that this book was a sample. It was a prelude & one chapter.

2.0 out of 5 stars Lacklustre..
Predictable and boring. I usually can read a romance and be entertained, but this book was terrible. I definitely would not recommend this book to anyone.

More About the Author

My first attempt at writing fiction came after I'd spent almost thirty years as a journalist first at Harper's and TIME magazines, then at Stanford University and, finally, as a newspaper reporter where my work was honored with an award from the New England Press Association.
It was wonderful to discover that I had stories percolating in my brain and I'm thrilled that readers like my novel and want to read more.
I'm happiest when my passport is being used and travel whenever time and budget allow.
