Only the Victorians could write a book about life in a harem without using any naughty words. His "Staff of Pleasure" enters her "Chamber of Venus" often enough, yet the end result it comic rather than sexy. Though eventually rescued from the clutches of the Lustful Turk, our heroine still manages to bring home an interesting souvenir. A total hoot!

it depicts the adventures of an english ladyafter her capture by turkish pirates. it deals with the opening up of her sexual nature and some of the inmates of the harem in which she lives
