I have a designer single piece Kohler toilet with "almost round" front and with toilet seat bolts going into the built-inside nuts. Original seat had some kind of film over plastic that was partially ripped, so it was time for the replacement.
Since the toilet shape was a little more-round-than-most, and due to the bolt-only / no nut design, went with the top of the line Kohler (master bedroom / buy the best thing once, etc.).

It is good, but not great. IMHO since it is the ONLY ADA-compliant model, they have added $20 for those who have to be compliant. All you get is an additional pair of radial support feet under the seat.

It is not thicker or heavier or better looking than their $30 models from Home Depot that I have perused and decided to get a "better" seat.
It has a regular slightly elongated shape, so the front fit is not that close to the shape of "my" bowl.
It has a regular hinge so the cover slams eagerly.
Unlike similarely proced American Standard 5320.110.020 it has no hinge adjustment, so I could not move the seat forward to compensate for the out of the ordinary shape. Nor does it have quick release attachment.

Do not take me wrong - it is an all-plastic (Polypropilene) seat that is sturdy and shiny and with good looks. It's just not worth the money they ask for it.

This product has been redesigned by Kohler. It is not the same as the original toilet seat. Called Kohler because there was a defective nut and they are sending a replacement. However, I told them we were not happy with the seat as the ring surface is more rounded (original was more flat), but more importantly the lid can not open far enough to rest on the toilet back, therefore it will likely snap, if someone leans back too far. Kohler apologized, admitted they redesigned the seat, and gave me two suppliers to call, to see if they have any "old stock". Seriously, this toilet seat cost a fortune, Kohler needs to do better, particularly when they make a toilet that has a proprietary seat.

I WAS TERRIBLY DISAPPOINTED WHEN I RECEIVED THIS MODERATELY EXPENSIVE KOHLER TOILET SEAT AS IT IS MADE OF SUCH A THIN, CHEAP LOOKING PLASTIC. THIS IS NOT WHAT I INTENDED AT ALL. I LIKE THE SLEEK DESIGN, BUT THE MATERIAL USED IS NOT OF THE QUALITY I WAS EXPECTING.

I am impressed by the fact that a toilet seat can have so many opinions. This seat works, supports the body, and is simple to install. The price on Amazon is better than from Kohler.

It's not padded, it's not warm, it isn't slow to close, but it covers the bowel and this one isn't cracked like the one it replaced.

I bought cheap toilet seats before and know what to look for and this Kohler toilet seat was not one of them. Very well made and sturdy and looks retro cool with my white toilet and black and white checkerboard bathroom floor.

The replacement seat is OEM but isn't exactly like original. Seat is thinner and buttons that hold it off ceramic bowl are smaller.

I am sending this back. It is impossible to install and tighten. This is the second one we are buying. Even with the first one, I had to call a handy man to install it and it never tightened either. I contacted Kohler to MAKE sure that this was the correct replacement model. I told them that the original seat cover was heavy duty enough to sit on. Their response was, why would anyone sit on the toilet? Obviously no one has children there and they do not sit while their children are taking baths. I've had it with Kohler. We are going to replace ALL our kohler toilets.

I have had this style Kohler toilet seat before, but have been disappointed with this batch. I ordered seat replacements for 2 toilets and one seems to be satisfactory and the other is problematic. For some unknown reason, Kohler designers felt compelled to change the attaching "hardware" to a sub-standard design using plastic bolts and plastic wing nuts. One of the bolts will not tighten properly and the seat loosens constantly. In this case, spending this kind of money on a Kohler product was not worth it at all. I am very frustrated with this change of design.
