5.0 out of 5 stars Lustre never lacks, October 10, 2004

The clean, incendiary guitar sounds drive the songs on the debut EP from Lion Fever, a trio of rock'n'roll revivalists. The album begins with the masterful song "Slave," a dark, bluesy rock song with raw guitar licks and a beautiful bass line so sneaky it often steals the show--that is, if your ears can stand to spend one second away from the soulful voice of Jennifer, the lead singer. Jennifer's singing is reminiscent of early PJ Harvey, only deeper and more sultry. LUSTRE is fierce in a rock'n'roll way that all Kills-influenced garage bands aspire to be, and this album won't leave your turntable until the needle has worn through the vinyl.

Brilliant.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure Lust, May 29, 2008
This review is from: Lustre (Audio CD)
I saw this band back in 2005 and bought their second album "Haunted Water." I revisted them recently and decided to buy Lustre and one of the member's old band's albums "Lost Kids- Belle Isle is on Fire." This EP is definitely worth the investment hands down! It's seriuosly become one of my favorite albums and I own over 300 full albums. This band is definitely one of the best underground bands around! Just do it! Buy it!
