Lutein is essential for healthy eyes. Several friends of mine have eye problems including macular degeneration and all their doctors recommended Lutein. Not that it would cure anything just help in keeping the eye as healthy as possible. Now products are usually excellent that is why I chose Now Lutein. i take it every day.

I added this to my supplement regimen when I realized how much was needed for vision issues. My husband & I both take it & find that prior problems with vision seem to have resolved, according to our eye doctor. NOW Foods seems to be a very reliable brand.

This review is from: NOW Foods Lutein Esters, 120 Softgels / 20mg (Health and Beauty)
This product has only 10 mg of ordinary lutein per pill. The 20 mg of "lutein esters" is not equivalent to the 20 mg pills you can get at Walmart or other places.

However, the pills came on time and were good for vision, even at a lower dose than I expected.
