Just a quick note to say that I disagree strongly with the 1 star review from the other reviewer. I rarely generate reviews, but at these incredible prices on the Telarc catalogue, no one should pass up these SACDs. They are all at least good and most are very good to excellent.
In the case of this recording -- everything is in place and well executed. It just lacks that last quantum of energy to put it up there with the best Bartok Concerto for Orchestra recordings (Reiner/CSO and my favorite Solti/CSO). The Lutoslaswki is not well represented in the catalogue and it is a fine piece. This is a great chance to get yourself a recording of this masterpiece.

This is very poor quality recording, not even worth the cheap price. This was my first Lutoslawski piece and I was dissapointed
