PROS: The "Midnight" (black) wall plate looks great (haven't seen/used many other colors) and once installed looks very clean - no screws, etc. Definitely an upgrade from "standard" grade wall plates.
CONS: The fit of the front plate to the backing plate is extremely snug and snapping the cover plate off requires some care and patience (and no long fingernails) Of course you should only need to do this once but if you resort to a flat blade screwdriver to pry the front cover off, be careful not to 'dent' or scratch the plastic base with the screwdriver blade.
NOTES: I've noticed pricing on these things varies widely (from $5.00 to $11.25 each) so it pays to shop around. We used these wall plates for all switches and outlets (13 total) in a "media room" with dark wall paint and found that we had trouble finding the light switches in the dark ("Midnight" is right). So we swapped out the 3 midnight black switch plates for the Lutron Claro Stainless Steel plates but kept the midnight black wall plates on the AC power receptacles. Problem solved (and the Stainless steel plates combined with the midnight switch mechanisms look great too)
OVERALL: very satisfied

It's a decorative plate. It has held up well so far (6 months). There are no visible screws which give looks nice in the room.

These are clean screwless switch/outlet plates that attach very easily. Because they are plastic it actually makes them easier to install with a nice tight fit to the wall.

The Lutron plate is a clever design that has a snap-on cover
plate that conceals the usual screw-on base plate. I bought the
excellent Lutron LED dimmer switch which comes in the desired
ivory color but where, oh, where is the matching Lutron wall
plate in ivory? Goldtone is the closest and it is a bit weird
looking combined with ivory.

Dec. 2, 2011 update. I found a website where one may order
Lutron products including the ivory wallplate I wanted. It
is lutronstore.com, and the wallplate is more than $2.00 less
than the $8.16 Amazon charged me. STAY AWAY FROM AMAZON FOR
THIS ONE!

I was disappointed with the cheap plastic look of these wall plates, even though the method for fixing them to the wall is cool ( no screws showing). They are also pretty bright and not very subdued in color.
