My landlord installed this when I said I had programmables that I wanted to use. I have Honeywell's and they have been great, and very easy to install. They put these in and I programmed it and am waking up to a 58 degree house. It's supposed to be 68, btw. I don't know why it can't run a program, but it's useless to me. I took it off and put the ones I already had in use. For $7 difference, it's doesn't make sense to use price as a guide.

Easy to install. Isn't as easy to program as I would like but it does the job and it is a good price.

fantastic thermostat, easy to program,
This review is from: Lux 5&2 Programmable Lighted Thermostat PSP511LC
My wife and I have been using one of these thermostats for over four years. It is easy to program and saves us a ridiculous amount on our energy bills. The hold feature is nice for when you're on vacation, just press the button, and the device will stop running the program and keep the temperature at its current setting.

Energy Saver???,
This review is from: Lux 5&2 Programmable Lighted Thermostat PSP511LC
This thermostat was installed by the contractors that installed my new gas furnace. The thermostat is easy to use and program. The backlight is decent. This was listed as an Energy Saving Thermostat. It does save Energy in a sense but the way it accomplishes this is very strange. If you set the temperature for 70 degrees it will actually only heat to 65 degrees. At least that was the case the first 2 years I had this installed. This winter I have noticed that the Energy Saving feature now runs at about 8-9 degrees below what it is set for. This is confirmed by using 2 different thermometers. If you don't mind being "fooled" by your thermostat into thinking it is 70 degrees in your house then by all means buy this. I prefer an accurate thermostat.

Did Not Send Item We Wanted!!!,
This review is from: Lux 5&2 Programmable Lighted Thermostat PSP511LC
When the package finally arrived, we found it was the same thermostat we had. They did not have the one we ordered, so instead of letting us know, they sent another one which is the one we already had. WE WERE NOT HAPPY!!! They did send UPS after it and we did not have to pay return shipping. We would not do business with that company again because they should have let us know they did not have the thermostat we wanted and not send another one. That's just not good business.
