5.0 out of 5 stars WELL DESIGNED, REASONABLY PRICED
The good design, though executed in China, is a great value. I installed it myself to replace a 25 year old, 3 wire mechanical unit with no problem. Programming was intuitive and straightforward. I especially like the 1 thru 9 "swing" setting which controls how often the system runs to correct room temperature. If you're can tolerate wider swings, you'll save a little...

I have this thermostat in my apartment. Actually it's the PSP511. Not sure what the difference is. This thermostat runs the furnace too long and then it takes too long to turn it on, so it tends to either be too cold or too hot. About the last thing you need in a thermostat.

I especially like the 1 thru 9 "swing" setting which controls how often the system runs to correct room temperature. If you're can tolerate wider swings, you'll save a little money, but if you're delicate, the lowest setting keeps temperature very close to the set point. And it's nicely made.

I had to buy a second one. As a landlord with quite a few thermostats to take care of, this low cost product is straight forward, full featured, and very easy to operate without reading complicated manuals or learning. It's intuitive nature, as well as full feature set, give me more satisfaction than others I have paid a lot more for. Plus, I like the blue background lighting. And, for a person who usually needs to put on his glasses, I can read this one at a glance without them.
