Search for the truth,
By
This review is from: The Luxury of Exile (Hardcover)
In my view this book is about a man searching for the truth in many ways. On one hand he is trying to solve the mystery about the memories of Lord Byron, on the other hand he starts to solve the mysteries of his own life: The love to his wife and the relationship to his daughter and son, the friendship with an employee of his and last not least the priorities and sense of his life, taking him back to the death of his father.
So there is more to this book than just a good story about antiques...

This review is from: The Luxury of Exile (Hardcover)
A contemporary setting for a story of an english antique dealer so used to pulling the wool over his clients eyes find himself unable to distinguish fact and fiction when he comes across clues leading to Lord Byron's memoirs. In turn leading to events which take both reader and narrator into a parallel life echoing Byron's.
Beautifully written and eloquent, I urge you to read this book |
